Originally posted by Paladin101 I keep seeing people post on various forums that the Horde is the bad side. This is not true at all. Warcraft is not a good vs. evil game when you compare both factions. The humans are certinaly more evil and corrupt than the orcs and tauren. I hope people can understand that the horde is not the "Bad Side"... the bad guys are the scourge, burning legion, and you could argue if Illidan alliance is good or bad. I do recall the orcs being the first to heed the warning of the Prophet Medievh and being the first to extend a hand of friendship to the alliance. I also recall the alliance being the ones to betray the Warchief and the Horde.... the alliance are nothing but backstabbing dogs.
Originally posted by WillJones420 What of the undead though? The humans, dwarves, and gnomes could head north and take back Lorderon as well by your logic, considering that the Horde in Kalimdor have their problems with quillboar and centaur forces. Would the Horde come to the aid of their undead allies if such an invasion took place? I know the alliance would support the NE if Thrall decided to move north.
Yeah mabey if they wanted to fight the scourge(who already kicked their ass) AND the forsaken.

Shaman are a cool class, I played one to 46 and had lots of fun with them, but vs. Paladins and warriors they have the tendency to get owned sometimes, especially vs. paladins.
From playing the game I got it the other way around.
Alliance:
Humans- Main bad guy is the Defias whom are only bad because the king screwed them over. How does a "good" side just hire workers and when the workers want their money/reward they get kicked out of the city?
Elves-Wouldn't even have the problem with Arthas if it werent for them. Illidan sacrifices himself to become a demon to kill the main dreadlord and the kick him out of their territory.
Gnomes/Dwarves-Possibly the 2 true good races.
Orcs/Trolls-Leave all their old territory and are still getting pursued by Stormwind.
Undead-Become the sworn enemies of the Scourge and are also forced to fight off the attacking armies of Stormwind.
Tauren-The evil race....damn tree loving hippies.
Edit: Nvm I was wrong about two races, the orcs and trolls are evil. Slave Labor =/ good. I mean the peons work hard in durotar and for all their work they get beat with a stick when they need a break. Every orc/troll is a complete disgrace, even thought that might possibly be the best quest in the game
It is a weird view to take isn't it? Who truely are the "evil" ones?
I believe it was the gnomes... you know how their inventions can just make things "look" different. Maybe one of their crazy devices just did something it shouldn't have?
I'm not sure if your're asking about statistics or story, because i think they're pretty well balanced. If your talkin about the story, then yes, the horde was the evil side. Both the undead and the orcs were sent by the "burning legion" guys to kill the humans. THen later the orcs broke free and becames good.
Try this link, it's the complete story to the Warcraft trilogy. I can tell not many WoW players played previous warcraft games, since they have no idea what WoW is about.

I have seen orc children running around in the orphanage in Orgrimmar. I even took one of the brats out for a nice day trip. And I didn't eat him. Nor did I feed him to my pet, even though my poor pet was hungry and getting moody. I think I'm a fairly typical orc, and I will say that we hardly ever eat our own children on purpose.
Now, if it had been a gnome child... I'd have made him a sandwich and called it at day.
As far as the good and evil thing? You've got to watch out for those backstabbing alliance folks. Why do you think there are so many poor orc children without parents? They lost their parents to those heartless alliance forces. They were lucky to escape with their own little lives!

No they dont.
I eat paladins.
In that case, have my congrats. You're one of the few who know how to play their shamans.
Most do tend to get beat by paladins, and a warrior in the hands of someone who knows how to play a warrior can be a nightmare for any shaman.

Blame it on the demons! It's always the demons' fault, that damned Burning Legion, that damned Sargeras and his lieutenants, Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden! It's all those damned demons fault!
Yes, I know it was the old Keldorai who originally brought the demons in through the well a long time ago, but we paid for our mistakes. How would you like to be a man trapped in an alternate dreamlike plane for ten thousand years without your women??
Part of the blame can go to both humans and orcs as well. Human warlocks were the cause of bringing Sargeras back that one time (where Medivh's mom beat him and began his story). They paid for their mistakes too. Both of the human major human kingdoms have been seriously sacked at some point in time. Azeroth during the first war, and then Lorderaun by the Scourge. You all think they've been through enough?
Then there are the orcs, the Shadow Council, and Gul'dan who worked for the Legion in the first and second war, causing all kinds of mayhem in the name of demons. As long as we're casting blame on the alliance races, we can't forget our green friends who had their part in throwing mischief around, can we? I can say they've paid for their sins as well. Nearly brought to the brink of extinction and all... Kudos to Thrall for bringing them back to Shamanism and to Grom for freeing them from the demon curse. for your heroism!
