My friends and I have created a mmorpg in the pirate universe, what do you guys think of the idea?

I know it rude to say this,

but i think with the graphics type you chose , best to do space-pirate theme instead of classic sea-pirate.

    The reason is.

It hard to mess with ship design.

Also there are many reason relate to graphic design to chose space theme over sea theme.

Really great seeing this I have the upmost respect seeing gamers actually trying to create something they love.

But to be honost it aint a game for me but I am very sure others might really dig it.

I really love your "PLAY to WIN"

I do hope you succeed with this game. May I ask how long have you and your friends been working on the game?

Yeah the free-to-win by opposition to the free-to-play (we all know it means pay-to-win) is really important to us. It's got to be a game where skill (mostly theory craft and social skills) is what matters, not the amount of money or time you can spend.

I think we started talking about it, 4 years ago, while drinking beers. Then it took us a year to agree on what we really wanted to do, then we actually started coding it, mostly working on week end, evenings, and holidays. We did a closed alpha a year ago, it wasn't good enough, so we reworked it for a year, and here we are. Making the final adjustments !

    Yeah. Why not.

That's not what he meant. He had bad wording but the idea is sound. He made a game for the casual player who don't really have time to play games outside work, friends & family. I suppose he's in the same lane as many of us and to him making this game is in the "work" paragraph. There's only so much you can do in 24 hours until someone figures out how to remove the need to sleep. And even then I'm sure people would adjust accordingly not to have free time xD

Game looks like it could be some real casual fun, and pirates actually haven't been done to death yet, so that's good. My initial problem when looking at the site was the editing. I'm not sure if english is your first language or not, but I would really recommend getting somebody to not only edit a lot of your text, but to spruce it up a bit :)

Cool that you're doing this. I support anybody embracing a DIY approach to their hobbies.

Real life brings repetition and pointlessness too. The only thing real life offers is Great graphics. Its kinda expensive too and way to dependent on the cash shop. Totally pay to win as well. No thank you. Ill stick to my games.

You're right, english isn't my first language :(

Thanks for your advice, I'll try to find a native english speaker to reword / rewrite the text !

You're welcome! Your english is clearly very good as a non native speaker, but as a native speaker I could tell that something was a little off :)

I love the term "Free to Win". Though confusing upon first glance, it makes a lot more sense when you get to that part of the page.

I wasn't expecting this to be as well put together when I read the title of this thread. Congratulations on your hard work and good luck in the future.
