after playing UO since Sept. of '97, taking a 2yr break to play FFXI, WoW, GuildWars, SWG, etc. I found myself returning to UO. Why you ask? Simple, out of all other games that I've played, i found myself constantly comparing them to UO. The community, the options, the PvM is great. The PvP found a little reduction with the introduction of Trammel. So what? PvP'ers could, and still can to this day, utilize Felluca to gang up on each other. The old days of classic PvP are long gone, E-bay'd characters are now fighting in gangs, if they can't mass rape you then they are not happy. Bottom line, since Renaissance, Trammel is what held UO above water and made it playable. Oh yeah, before someone has the hilarious idea of flaming me about my PvP comments, let's go, One-on-One, you and me, without your ganksquad backing you up. Try ol' school for once, if you even remember what this would be like. Other than that, I remain in the non PvP lands. The main mistake that EA/OSI ever made was to terminate UOX, somethig I, and a lot of others were looking forward to for a long time. Reducing us to a 7yr old graphic engine is not quite satisfying. Add-ons in content are always welcome, harder dungeons are welcome, since the introduction of champ spawns and the ridiculous necessity of Powerscrolls, it's time to bring playable content rather than items that shift the balance of economics within the game. Last but not least, bring this game into the 21st century by introducing a new graphic engine! in summary, UO is still one the best games, although there is lots of room of improvement!
