To me the only valid "frustration" is the social one. Frustration #1 seems like you want everything ready and easy to get. Atlas system is good to me, I want to work hard to get a new class and if i chosen a wrong one, my fault, I will try to get a new one. I dont like easy things. And if i cant wait, i just buy it. Frustration #1 is a non sense. In almost every MMORPG you have to repeat more and more the same dungeon to get some resources. Where is the difference?

The social issue instead is really a problem. But well, it is a beta game, isnt? Play it, send suggestions and hope they will fix things.

Someone correct me here if I'm wrong. What I've read in regards to bugs and development is this:

The game has similarities to the original Korean and subsequent North American release of ArcheAge. The game is a few versions ahead in Russia. A lot of bugs and tweaks are already live in Russia. A lot of fixes we need, have already been coded, but they were done in a future version that has not had North American localization completed yet.

Short version, it is only a matter of time.

Mr. Murphy - you are commenting and influencing people on a game that  is IN BETA TESTING, not in full completed release.  I expected more professionalism from you both in responsible reviewing and in language usage.

There still needs to be a lot of optimization and a fair bit of adjusting game mechanics.  There is room for improvement just about everywhere.  But there has also been improvement.

I'm not a so-called white knight, but I am amazed (not in a good way) at the attitudes of gamers these days.

i dont mind having to unlock classes , thats not new (FFXI / FFXIV , old rift , WoW DK , ect)

my main gripe is the sparks cap , yeah after a while it wont be a issue , since the cap goes up every week , but ugh..

2 week and im already unlocked , slayer , archer and kinetic , and omw to Alchemist (probably not next week since is really far but meh i still need to max the classes i have so no rush for it ) , unlocking a class 100% , nets u a new Costume and the Class symbol (passive boost)

the game is a bit repetitive, but is a lobby mmoarpg , u really expect otherwise?

i just left the game 5 mins ago because of pure frustration at 3100 Prestige.
The 1st 5 Man dungeon is a pure torture for all members. MOBs have to much HP and do to much DMG.
There is no Healer in this game. You can just die, die and die again if you try to escape from enemies.
At the current state this game is a complete failure for normal standard players. My wife made it to 600 prestige and left out of boredom. I am 500 red sparks away from Necro btu i just dont find the will to get them because once i have the Necro i have to completly start over. Groups will kick me out with this impotent starter necro.
The whole game could be a success but not with the stupid LIMITS to Sparks/Money and these forced PvP quests and whatall. Players are forced to do things they dont like. You cant just decide freely what you want to do. The developers always force you into something you might hate. The starter classes are ok but getting boring fast.

Some Trash MOBs hit harder than their group Boss. Stupid instant deads are common.

I think i havent played a game i tried to like so hard since a long time but Skyforge dissapoints me over and over again.

OPEN BETA, i see , this game needs alot of tuning, not fine tuning, hard tuning to make it a success.

currently all i see is a horde of F2P players that are 1-2 week fanbois and some Energy Drink consuming nerds.

To bad ALLODS TEAM couldnt balance the NPC damage better and stay away from CAPS and Limits....

The dungeon part is worrying me as I enjoy grouping and I am playing a Lightbinder . Many players are rushing their prestige and are building poor stats and  choosing might stat items because of the higher prestige and they end up with characters that simply cannot tank the bosses or do enough damage making dungeon runs fails is what I have been reading.

This is something that needs to be fixed either making sure other parameters are met before a person can join the group (will not be popular for friends who want to group together) or indicating the requirement other than prestige for a dungeon. Takes a lot of work and I do not think the developers have the wherewithal right now what with the network and other issues to address this would not be on their priority list. The other problem is people are developing characters with only goals are to reach the classes they want to play and often the path to the class is charted depending on what resources are available and is not optimum and may pick poor stats that do not help your character overall. Since the goal is the fastest way for me to get to berserker or monk people are not circumspect about what they are picking. The reverse of that are those that do decide to choose their own path finding they went along a path to a node they have no hope of opening at the stage they are at and promptly quitting the game .

Lot of reading up and research is needed to play this game because it looks deceptively easy but the very fact that people are failing dungeons where certain pantheons can do easily is indicative 'the throw everything but the kitchen sink' attitude is getting the players nowhere.

Pity I wish while designing the system the developers had thought to explain things more so that players may make wiser choices. Or they should just allow players to pick their classes and the harder classes being clearly indicated as such and having a slower progress so that they can come up to par. This whole work your way to the class you desire seems to have created a very focused and speedy path that has made poor players emerge and giving up in frustration.

I have reduced my prestige and while watching other players in the open world I notice how much easier it is for me to solo the mobs then when I watch another advanced class which means they may not have all their abilities which makes each encounter near death for them. Surprising how many people were dying left ,right and center. I spent  a bit  of time resurrecting them. I did jump in after awhile and help most after observing for a bit. Not try to boast ,I am not a better player just that my prestige is lower but I am quite high up on my class tree completion and that is in my opinion the reason I am surviving better.

  • Cheyane,

I think this could be easily achieved with a small tweak to the current system. They could simply lock people out from using group finder on "Impossible" difficulty.

Difficulty is a gear check against your level (prestige). The only problem is they still allow players in when their level meets requirement but their gear check does not.

If they make that one tweak it would be like allowing premades to do heroics and nightmares and such at their own choosing while still having a gear score gate for those difficulties using the LFG tool.

P.S. I spent the past two days decreasing my Prestige with blue, purple, and orange gear. down from 6k to 5.4k. Has helped a ton. You know how badly I wish I could clear all the progress I've done on my order and upgrading the weapon and off hand slots? If I hadn't already spent money on this account I would've created a new one. Bad prestige, bad.

I should be able to burn my temples to the ground. My followers need to learn to fear me anyhow.

The only problem I see with your suggestion (Which is not a bad one BTW.) is that your adding another sort of cap to a game that's already dying in its infancy from to many caps.

I wouldn't see it as a cap so much as a limitation. But it would not eliminate player choice if only applied to the group finder.  Players would still be able to go in solo or with a pre made group.

It would vastly increase the value and usefulness of the group finder. In the cases of "group" dungeon group finding it would be an exponential increase over current state due to people with inflated prestige.

you have no clue what you are talking about.

Skyforge isnt about playing a few hours and unlock a new class.

its extremly hard work and often ZERO fun to follow the path to your class of dreams.

expect extreme frustration on your way to the Advanced classes.

Skyforge is one of the most unrewarding games i have ever played.

i am stuck at 5700 Prestige since days and i my frustration Level is above anything possible.......

Nothing works anymore. 5 man dungeons are pure Horror even easy..

many players rage leave groups and the game...

The developer team needs to adjust the and balance the Enemies HP/DPS etc etc

Good luck on becoming a MONK, WITCH for example........ 95% wont even make the half way there

I'm well over half-way to monk distance wise and I'm not frustrated yet.  However, we'll see how I feel after progressing through these ridiculous 650 spark nodes for a couple of weeks.  I'm concerned that I won't have the patience.
