Geologists theorize that there will be a devastating earthquake in its future.
So they built a beautiful city there. Sounds legit.

"For most of Humanity, the system of Rihlah was known as a former
military bastion located one jump beyond the Perry Line, although it was
not always that way. The Xi’an are very clinical when it comes to
expanding into other systems, and Rihlah’s initial industrial focus is
no exception. With the rise of the Human threat, Rihlah was converted
into a major staging area for Xi’an military forces, and the system’s
two worlds were redesigned with this purpose in mind. Massive barracks
facilities, training yards and munitions plants came to populate the
system. If the Xi’an Empire had ever gone into all-out war with Earth,
Rihlah would have been a key strategic launch point.
Today, however, Rihlah is a star example of the thawing of relations
between the Xi’an and Human Empires. With the increase in trade and
other relations between the powers, the ready-made invasion force has
been withdrawn and Rihlah has been formally redistricted into its
original purpose as an industrial zone. The conversion, and the
integration of Humans on the system’s planets, have had an interesting
effect and resulted in a particularly unique place for Human visitors to
explore (within some very specific limits)."
"Nemo is a mid-range human-settled system centered around a tropical
waterworld, Ergo. Ergo produces vast quantities of undersea oil and has
been settled with a series of orbital-dropped platform cities. Although
there is no denying the fact that the planet exists largely to supply
other more populous systems, the Ergonians have developed their own
unique culture. Unlike most water worlds, absolutely no indiginous life
has formed on the planet, so visitors hoping to find an unusual fish
will be disappointed.
The highlight of the Nemo system is the so-called “Space Whale.” A
naturally forming asteroid located in safe orbit around Nemo III, the
planetoid resembles nothing so much as an Earth whale suspended in
space. The locals have taken the whale as their own, constructing a
nearby tourist trap for visitors to the system. Here you will find
readily available t-shirts and shotglasses with phrases ranging from the
obvious “I Saw the Space Whale!” to the utterly inexpicable “Ergo, I
Got Blubbered.” "

Wow this is so embarrassing to read, it has got to be a joke, right? How can they call this "lore" when they're referring to things like Nemo and space whales and crappy t-shirts and silly word plays on things like 'ergo'. It's the sort of thing pre-schoolers would write.
"Kallis is a system
still in its infancy. All the planetary masses are still forming and
cooling. It’s not ideal for colonists and with the exception of some
rare metals in unusual concentrations it’s not great for merchants… but
all eyes are on the system in the scientific community. As such, the
system has no native population or representation in the UEE senate;
it is officially governed by a panel of Imperial researchers. The
system has been placed under the Fair Chance Act, in order to allow
scientists an undisturbed look at the formation of a new system.
The belief is that Kallis may become a jump hub as expansion into
this region of the galaxy continues; canny real estate investors would
be advised to purchase land deeds immediately."

The situation was resolved, but the meeting set the tone for relations
between the two species for centuries. Pallas became a part of the Perry

The Stanton System (Part 1) - where the corporations rule !
"The Stanton System is a corporate business park writ large: a series of four massive super-Earth planets terraformed for their resources.
Stanton is an anomaly. Boasting a wide green zone with four
inhabitable super-Earths, the system is, from a cosmological
perspective, unusual. Strictly speaking, star systems as purely
inhabitable as Stanton simply don’t exist. The combination of the proper
star type with the evolution of four especially large Human-suitable
biospheres requiring limited terraforming is so unlikely as to strongly
suggest design."
"Ellis is most famously home of the Murray Cup,
the jewel in in-system star racing’s triple crown. The Ellis route runs
through the densely packed inner worlds, through the twin asteroid
belts and stops at one of Ellis VIII’s
Lagrange points. A series of thousands of orbital monitoring buoys has
been deployed throughout the system to monitor and broadcast race
progress. During the off-season, aspiring racers and engine
customization fans are allowed to run the track themselves for a small
fee.
"
"The Tohil System has a history of danger and intrigue. As the only former Perry Line system with a jump into an unclaimed system, it has long been a favorite of smugglers looking to circumvent UEE and/or Xi’An authority. However, the system’s appeal was not entirely sinister. Tohil also played a part in ending the Messer regime: resistance fighters used it to sneak into the UEE from Xi’An territory and secret meetings between Terran Senator Akari and Xi’An leaders that lead to the end of the cold war were held on Tohil III.

Prisons, anti-matter production and alien raiders.
“My proposal to decommission QuarterDeck’s antimatter facility is
motivated by several factors. First, its current conditions are well
below the standard mandated of privately run operations. Second, there’s
a growing concern that the military is too dependent on the antimatter
produced there. A recent report by the SSA
stated that loss of antimatter production on QuarterDeck, whether due to
cataclysmic event or Vanduul invasion, would severely disrupt the
military. Fellow Senators, our military becoming dependent on antimatter
produced in a system with two connections to Vanduul space is too
dangerous a situation to continue.”

With Th.us’ūng designated by the Xi’an as a scientific research
system, visitors must take care to avoid areas deemed off-limits. Xi’an
authorities will not hesitate to interdict or even destroy your ship if
it ventures into a prohibited part of the system."
“To me, Pallas is the perfect example for how the Xi’an handle
Humanity. We’re allowed to visit the system, but they really don’t want
us poking around too much. Sort of like that neighbor who’ll answer the
door when you knock but never invite you in.”

Quality over quantity, make it big doesn't make it better, they have shown that with Area 18.
