All of this negativity and you guys haven't even given the expansion a chance. I agree they've made some incredibly dumb mistakes both with MoP and WoD, but seriously give them a chance to make up for it. You don't even know, this expansion could be one of their best. If they keep the quest storytelling from WoD they're golden. If they can figure out a way to integrate more endgame content besides raiding they're golden. And if they don't somehow fuck their way into making a new garrison system through class orders then they're golden. If they make the difficulty of the content challenging and engaging, they're golden. I think everyone should just step back and enjoy the game for what it is rather than continuing to troll around about their expectations and the game used to be so much better blah blah. Games evolve, and if you don't like the evolution you're free to leave your negativity at the door. Keep in mind also, that this crowd at Gamescom isn't necessarily a Warcraft-centric crowd. The hype isn't going to be as ridiculous as say Blizzcon. Lastly for those comparing WoD and Legion, I think your facts are a bit wrong?
WoD:
6 New Zones (Not counting Ashran and clumping the starting zones into one because you only quest through one as your own faction)
2 Raids at launch (Third in 6.2)
7 Dungeons
Garrisons
Ashran PvP Zone
Legion:
Pre Expac experience patch
6 New zones (Potentially more max level with content patches)
2 Raids at launch (More with content patches)
9 Dungeons (Potentially more with content patches)
New Class (With a new starting zone experience)
Order Halls
New PvP System
New Artifact System (With their own questing experience)
PLUS Any new content patches that they put into this expac
Calm down folks. I think this expansion might actually be worth your time if you'd give it a chance and maybe wait for beta experiences.
@abaxyl it here are many lists on this. Wry forum, and I can assure 5 zones a class and some more gear gathering crap and garrison for classes ain't it. It's tired old shit by a team devoid of ambition.

Do you remember when Tanaan Jungle and Farahlon were supposed to be in at launch?
If you look at the number of the Zones it's still 8 New Zones by Draenor and only 6 New Zones by Legion.
Count on it that Legion will only have 4 or 5 Zones at launch, 6th one probably won't ever come, just like Farahlon never did. Even if it does that still means 2 Less Zones than Draenor.
Don't expect 2 Raids and 9 Dungeons at launch, because they won't be there. There will be 0 Raids at Launch and probably only 3 new dungeons that they've showed.
Say whatever you want but Legion will have way less content than Draenor, which was already very underwhelming.
Originally posted by FrodoFragins Well it meets some of the things I felt would be needed such as a focus on the Burning Legion and a new class. But I was really hoping we'd take the war to them on one of their worlds, not sticking to Azeroth.
That's the next expansion when we realize we can't close the portal and have to go in.
Yep sorry not interested. Still trying to bring TBC nostalgia but it will still cater to the most casual gamers in the world, not players who play MMORPGs to play MMORPGs. Everything after BC they knew was crap yet they dont understand that making WOW easy for every person hurt the MMO genera.

You must be giddy with excitement - 6 - 8 months of 6.2 then it all begins again. exactly what the 5 million are looking for right, 5 zones, garrisons for classes, its like they listened really hard to the player base. And no pretty much all the other AAA MMO put out more frequent varied cohesive content that blizzard does, and that's for a fraction of the price you mugs pay, then again they dont get drip fed ilevel eh.
As for ' not good at anything', im suprised you didn't add the word noob, newb, casual or anal there.

I should and want to be excited as someone who's been playing on and off since release but I'm just not. Maybe if WoD had a bit more to it I would of been. To me it seems like WoD was just a filler to bring Gul'dan back so he could summon the legion.
The new weapon system kind of reminded me of LOTRO's 50+ weapons system except scaled down a lot.
Titan home world, 60 levels, all new classes, massive skill trees, new engine allowing housing, more sophisticated gear specialisation, dyes. 3 factions, proper : faction open world warfare. Probably cost what 200 million over 5 years that the wow pkayer base would die for, it's a no brainer. but while The institutionalised contine to whimper with delight at the same crap they have got for the last years it won't happen. more fool them.

NO blizzard. i am not gonna give you a dime ever again unless you go back to your roots. Warcraft 3 still has one of the best stories and atmospheres in gaming industry. after Warcraft 3, they have failed to give us one epic story and they haven't introduced any new character in their games for more than a decade now. they are just recycling their games and sheeps are happy with it. specially now that they are adding Demon Hunter. it's the second most popular class after Death Knight.
my top MMOs: UO,DAOC,WoW,GW2
most of my posts are just my opinions they are not facts,it is the same for you too.
Not impressed with this new expansion, it feel like they put 1 expansion and slice it to WOD and Legion (like they did with SC2). Will wait until at least 50% off and only if I hear story is good not like WOD.
Wait didnt i fight the demons and this big illidian guy back in 2007? And whats up with the new class looking like one of my old warlock gear sets from that same expansion back in 2007 and while we are talking about that old expansio.... ahh nevermind
Seriously though, Its become obvious that with the plummeting subs blizzard clearly has no desire to take a risk and come up with NEW or ORIGINAL content instead opting to play it safe and rehash old ideas and settings. Really dissappointed , Thought wow was going to blow our minds and bring the old timers back to the game we once loved....

You must be a member of some secret gaming society that plays games that are only available to them, because at the moment I can't think of a single MMORPG(note RPG underlined) that has anything to do with what you just said. I guess in your eyes games like Path of Exile, League of Legends and WoW are the same genre and can be compared lol.
Also(of course that's just my personal opinion) I believe that subscription-based games are better than f2p/b2p games, because no matter how "free" an MMORPG there is always that "small" advantage people get by buying store items. It might be something trivial(at first sight), but usually it's actually giving quite an advantage to a person, while in sub-based games everyone is equal.

All those people who say Legion offers nothing new - what WOULD you consider to be new? What would have had you saying "Oh, this is what we want"?
Something totally unlike what WoW has done up to now would most likely break the game.
Blizzard, do it.
Ofc it will go free to play, the question is when.
