The PvP is where this game shines. I played the KR version for a while - and the PvE is kind of lack luster, it gets to the point where you can literally bypass all trash and just rush to the main boss and take it down. It'll have a steady population in the West for sure, will most likely pull some people from Tera. But again, this games PvP is amazing.

Game companies can just stick their "founder's packs." Not directed at NCSOFT in particular but I am now a god-fearin' card carrying member of the wait and see camp!

Now that you mention it, it does remind me of a TERA a bit. Is the combat similar to TERA's combat?

Just as a note, the Master's Pack contains 7200 NCoin, which works out at £76.50. The Master's Pack itself is £94.99. It means that, if you're looking to buy NCoin for other NCSoft games anyway (WildStar, Aion, etc), you can get the Master's Pack for an extra £18.49. For me, that makes it more worthwhile to go big.

£100 for a founder's pack? Gah I'm so excited for this game I might just buy that...Am I hopeless? (yes, I know I am) I am 100% buying the mid-tier at least, but I'm 50% on the top tier. The only thing pulling me back is the fact that I don't know that much about the F2P system yet, so I'm not sure if it's actually value for money. That being said, I reaaaaaally like those costumes, and the ones picked from the community event. It seems like the devs are going for quite a bit of eye-candy, which for me is a major pull in games. I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I honestly wouldn't mind paying $$$ so that my character looks cool while going through the storyline and game world.

Welp. All I care about is CBT access to see if the game is worth paying any more into, so I got the Initiate Pack. There's no skin off my back for a measly $25, so why not? ^^

My thought is that as long as people are "realistic" as to what they are getting and aren't supplying their own narrative as to what the game really is like, it shouldn't be a big deal. So basically understand that the founds packs give you exactly what they state, no more no less and that the game will be "what it is".

Once again selling beta access, not about testing a game but about making sales.

Terrible pvp system based on Speeding ahead to get more coins in pvp to get better gear to destroy those getting there later. In that respect buying founders and cash shop is definitely pay to win.

I do not support any game offering varied perks to players based on money. You either create a FAIR game or you deserve to be criticized.Even a one day head start based on tier of founders pack can have those players already attaining pvp gear while others sit and wait.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

25$ to play a game I'll most likely enjoy sooner? I'll take that. And if I don't. Its only 25$!

Yea i will jump on the RU P.Server if i want a BnS fix and wait until launch to see how they monetizing this version.

My alarm is already ringing at seeing character slots for sale.... you get such little bag & bank space on RU version and more slot unlocks are character bound. I hate having to unlock space on every character i want to play comfortably... but that + having to buy characters slots is a little greedy and is just feels like a punishment for wanting to play alts.

So for me i will be waiting to see the rest of the cash shop :)... also the silly price increase for UK lol.. $125 is around £80... but they charging us £95 *shakes head*.

No thanks, ill stick with a proper Wuxia-themed  mmo, ie Age Of Wulin Europe. A real Wuxia PVP game with a proper PVP system.

B&S is like Star Wars Rebels and Age Of Wulin is the real Star Wars deal. One can be taken seriously and the other is kids stuff, just a bit of light fun.

So, NCSoft is basically asking between €22,55 and €115 to test a FREE2PLAY game and effectively give almost nothing in return (aside from no active GMs)? I'll pass and wait for it to be actually be released as FREE game...

    Don't buy the founders packs.

I have to warn people against purchasing founder packs for this game.
This is very much "more of the same". Highly instanced game, borderline a lobby game.
It is played by running quest hub to quest hub with a tacky story thrown on top, pretty much the same as every other game.

The graphics are okay, but you can definitely sense that a few years have gone by.
And the combat is nothing new if you have already played Tera or similar, as it is pretty much the same.

For those that are especially interested, yes sure buy the founder packs and get a character title.
But for the vast vast majority, this is nothing special. Try it when it comes out, as it is F2P.
But chances are you'll most likely move on after a week or two.

Honestly, I see founders packs as the new "digital collector's edition" for MMOs but with varying tiers. For those wanting to get their hands on it ahead of time, 25 bucks is a good deal imo. Though, for the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone would care about a virtual title that's simply bought. I'm not sure why devs think that's an "incentive."

I think the initiate's pack is bad value. You're asked to pay over 20€ for access to beta weekends, and after the game is launched get only a fancy title to show for it.

The other packages are a bit better value, but it would be stupid to pay that much before testing the game.

    I'll be waiting until release.

What a joke, games already being released and having "founder's packs". This business market is getting ludicrous.

I can't figure out why anyone would pay to beta test a game that has already been released for a couple of years in other regions. Let this sink in for a minute. You pay 25 Euro or more to beta test a software that is already released and running. Even if you don't care about the money since you are filthy rich, you still getting punked.

I've wanted to play this game for a long time, I'm not paying 125 dollars to get 1 costume and some weapon skins in a game where those things are everywhere, and will always be way better than what you get in a founders pack. I get it, there's premium sub, and NCoin etc...Still, no thank you I can spend significantly less money just subbing myself and buying item shop outfits that are cooler when they come out.
