I like their fremium model, if you plan to use their shop their more expensive founder's pack is good value, if you only care for beta the cheap one is fine, if you just want to enjoy their game you can sub once it launches.

I am excited for the Western release of BnS, long overdue as it is. However, my excitement is tempered because I have played both the CN and RU versions of the game, up to around six months ago. The gameplay is wonderful, costumes are awesome, and the girls are sexy (if that's your bag, ofc). And as someone above me said, the PvP is pretty darn great. Trouble is, the PvE content is rather lacking; it gets to be awfully repetitive, and honestly even the "end-game" dungeons aren't really all that difficult, they are just hectic. And therein lies another woe, imo: there just aren't that many of those dungeons to do, and once you grind out your final max-level weapon, very little reason to do them. That being said, if the PvP remains close to the same in the Western version, it will undoubtedly help, since there are just some horrendous PvP systems out there currently. However, if NCWest doesn't add a whole lot more PvE content to what is already in existence, this thing isn't going to last long on these shores.

Not going to spend money on a fonder pack for this game, maybe two years ago i might have. I most likely will pay for one for lineage eternal though. I might put money in for moonlight blade as well.
I am really excited about B&S NA launch (and EU for my Euro friends :-) ). I will most likely buy the $25 dollar founder pack. The only things in the $75 pack that interest me are the extra character slots and maybe cash shop cash. Both those things I can just buy myself after the game launches though.
As a huge fan of this game having played it for many months. I only have one complaint. The two higher priced founders packs are only ok. I really don't see why they are so expensive though. I would of picked the middle founder pack if it was $60, but I don't see the value for the extra $15. I also would consider upgrading maybe at some point. But, atm they have no options for upgrading your founder pack. And you can only have one per account. So, if you buy the cheapest one and decide to get the master pack. You have to buy it on a different account. That's what I read from their FAQ on the main site.
I'm really hoping they add some things to all the packs. The only one atm that I see as a decent value is the first one and maybe the second pack.
They lost me at "beta weekends" This is nothing more than a cost cutting measure. They tried to play it off as some legit testing method but the only real reason they do short beta events is because it saves them money. Sorry, but if you want me to pay you 125$ to test a F2P title, I want more than "beta weekends" I'll wait for the release and try it then. I'm a little sick of the whole founder pack thing anyway. This game has been out for 4 years, it doesn't need any testing aside from localization. I learned my lesson on founder packs with Archeage, but at least that was a full time server not this beta weekend garbage.

youuuu dont say.
and there i thougth they wanted to make us a present damn.
you say the free costumes and titles and whatnot for 130 bucks are meant to earn money?! and they do NOT hand em out underprice, you gotta take into concern that alot of people worked on those costumes, to sew em, and get the wool and so on!
all those people have to be payed! i bet that is STILL an awesome offer!
ps: call now and you get a free leg shaver and nuttwarmer!

Just remember people don't get burn again with Founders packs.
I learned my lesson after wasting $150 on the Archage founders pack. Never again.
There going be a big hype soon to try to get people fall in and buy the founders packs. And some people going give in due to streamer or youtube to go after people with little resist and there wallet.:)
Fix the forum width please... Its got worse instead of better.
On Topic: I'll be watching this but don't hold out much hope considering the drivel that is being pushed out by these mmo conveyor belt companies.
If the $22 package included a premium month, that would be a fair deal. But as it stands it's sort of overpriced imo.
Especially because a boatload of awesome games are coming out this fall. I mean, you have Fallout 4, MSGV, XCOM2 all coming out this fall. Will be hard to motivate me to spend money on some kind of beta weekend for an older MMO that's going F2P anyhow.

There will be a time a company won't make shitloads of money from selling access to a 4 year old games beta test to stupid people. The time is not now it seems, but I won't let go all hope.
It's quite annoying that they've really messed up the conversion rate gah.
US = $120
$15/month usually for a P2P MMO
125 / 15 = 8.3 months of equivalent payments
UK = £95
£10/month usually for a P2P MMO
95 / 10 = 9.5 months of equivalent payments
I'm not happy on that side. Very very unfair when compared to other companies. £10 more just milking the exchange rate...

NCsoft is much more reliable than TrionWorlds. Trion has always done bad at the end of the day with their games. Bad Support, no patches to fix OP anything or bugs. Archeage and Trove are Prime examples of this.
looks like f2p players will only have 2 characters slots , since disciple pack says 2 character slots for a total of 4 .....
/sigh
That seems reasonable to me, paying for things like character slots is a gamer friendly way for f2p games to monetize, I would be more worried about if the overall system is designed so that you have to spend a lot to get a decent experience (like paying for items to improve enchanting chances from near zero to a certainty etc).
