Playing ESO and Wildstar and both are getting better with every patch. I m having so much fun playing those games that i can compare it only with eq1 and vanila wow years. Btw this DLC looks at least promising. Well done :)

All Time Favorites: EQ1, WoW, EvE, GW1
    Playing Now: WoW, ESO, GW2

Yeah surprised me too. 4 DLC per year is one every 3 months. The IC was released early September so I was expecting Orsinium early December. This is a full month ahead of schedule.

So....how does this and the imperial city thing work?  If you buy the game right now you basically need two DLC? I think if they aren't careful they could should themselves in the foot for the F2P crowd.  One of the cool things is you can buy the DLC and not need to sub, but if they're coming out this quick you're adding a larger and larger price tag for those people.  If it was just more content you would be fine, but without these you're missing out on QoL improvements as well....

Either that or a monthly sub. In their system "ESO+ members" (i.e. those who pay a monthly sub) get access to all DLC while subbed.

You CAN buy the DLC outright and not sub which, right now when there is only one DLC to buy, may be a better deal, but as time goes by and more DLCs are released the sub option starts to look like a better deal.

Aye. It's akin to DCUO, but DCUo charges only half the cost. (Usually for less content though.)

I think it's actually a very clever and straightforward system: you prefer subbing to MMOs and get the whole thing? You can do that (and get a few perks along with it.) You'd rather not sub and choose which extras you want (and from comments I've seen, not everyone is interested in the IC)? You can also do it that way.

I posted about this way back last March when the B2P model was announced. The sub only sort of went away because what they really did was incentivize the sub.

This is what I am looking for out of ESO. And no instanced dungeons either as both are public dungeons. That would be great if they did away with instances and converted the old instances into public dungeons as well.

Really looking forward to giving it a try on the PTS.

Itsa great times now for mmorpg players, I enjoy wildstar but I keep getting pulled back into eso for 1 more session and now they have the nerve to release more content (just awsome) and then to top all that off gw2 expansions is comming! I need to retire or get made redundant lol asside from this there's ff14 I want to try at some point and swtor and TSW keep quietly building away garrttrhhhh

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D

I also like what's going on. More regular dlc's like SWTOR and hopefully less bugs.

How is this going to factor in the 'play at any level' part? Looks good though!
    Perennially extricating the extraneous

Just watched the bit about the solo Maelstrom Arena - love the concept! A solo challenge with leader boards. You think you have a good solo build? Show us.

Boosted like Cyrodil and IC most likely.

That is their plan for the whole game eventually. Go most anywhere any level.

Yeah. It will be like that and on the podcast I thought I heard Lambert refer to level 10 so there will be that minimum level for entry just like in Cyrodiil and the IC.

It's also worth noting for those not familiar with the "battle leveling" system that the loot drops and quest rewards you get are at your "true" level. For example, if you're level 30 and go there, you will get bolstered to VR16 and fight VR16 mobs but the rewarda nd drops will be level 30.

They are also, for the first time, doing something similar with the resource nodes you harvest: they will now also scale to your highest crafting level. What this means is that if you have a dedicated crafter alt who is level 40 but has blacksmithing maxed, he will get the highest tier mats from harvesting ore nodes.

Likewise if you have a VR16 character that doesn't craft, he would get only the tier 1 crafting mats from the same resource node.

I do. It\s called Blood Flow >:)  It's a Nightblade build. I'm recording vids now of it in action. I'll probably edit and put it on the forums this weekend.
