There are those who are still stuck in that mentality sadly.
But here's the newest kicker. They nerfed the rewards in PVP, they nerfed the rewards in PVPVE, they nerfed the rewards in PVE open world, now they are nerfing the dungeons.
So all those dungeoneers that said "QQ" when we told them how terrible they were at rewards are now getting a taste of karma.
if someone is into GW2 knows that the above statement iss bullshit. Since they gone for f2p for the core game, the sPvP gone wild already. Also yes is sad they abandon their old dungeons to add raids, but they didnt nerf the PvE. Such statements are totall false...
but those who love and took part into the latest beta are cautious and far away from hyped.. The scrapper for example, although its hammer skills were awesome, the gyros were bugged and simple useless.. Also there were a shit ton of bugs in that beta and if they dont go for more betas we will hardly see a stable release.
but the current state of the game is worthy the hype 3 years ago. Remains great in aesthetics, the community is great and friendly, and its population is still growing. It has its flaws but compared to other releases is the best so far..
It's impossible to deem the quality of an expansion until after a while. I think we've learned from particularly, WoWs expansions, that perception of them changes over time.
In the case of GW1, I feel it is pretty evenly split between which new campaigns people enjoyed the most. GW Factions was rated the highest on MMORPG.com for a long time, while sites like GuildwarsGuru favored Nightfall and EOTN.
What is important about HoT is that the gameplay systems are now in place to expand. Specialization infrastructure, guild hall infrastructure, mastery-character-progression, fractals-one-island infrastructure, guild WvW-perks infrastructure - all these major gameplay systems behind the scenes have made it so that in the next expansion should make the process easier, and perhaps, allow for a bigger expansion.
When judged in size, Nightfall was almost twice as big as factions. I feel that if ArenaNet works on a Cantha expansion after this, it will be HoT > Living Story Season 3 > Cantha Expansion > Living Story Season 4 > Elona Expansion. I don't think there will be more classes added. Revernant is a heavy armor profession, which means there are 3-light, medium and heavy professions now. The next expansion will yield 9 new elite specializations, and my guess... two new races?
Whether they are set up with structure to release more specs quickly is all conjecture. Anet has quite the history ofimplementing, then never touching again. I hate the weapon locks to spec, super boring design. But we,LL see what happens.
This had so much hype months back. I honestly thought that it already released. I haven't logged in for that long. No real reason per-say. Just other gaming interests currently. Thinking about looking into it since reading this. Maybe. I hate this time of year. So many freaking sales and on top of it this year we get Fallout 4 of all things! That's what I want right there. hype is bad
didnt they learn that lesson from launch?
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
