Greeting Folks,

Now is the time to join Star Citizen.  Why?  Because the FPS and multi-crew are just around the corner along with the pre-alpha mini-PU and SQ42 for next year.  Use this code [mod edit] when signing up and receive 5,000 UEE free credit for use toward a purchase of ship weapon upgrade or ship equipment upgrade or a decor item for your hangar.  In addition, to signing up you can play an intricate part toward the development of the game as well as being part of the many making history since no other game has ever being done like this before.

Or

You can choice not to take part and sit there listening to the trolls who say this game will not happen.  While us backers and the CIG prove them wrong with each release new patch release.

The choice is your.

I can tell you one thing.  Make a post about SC good or bad and you get a followup post right away.

You got nothing to lose. You can use the code, get 5000 ingame credits. All you have to do is create an account. No money involved.

You can just sit it out and wait till the game releases and decide then if you buy it or not.

Here is my code, if any are interested: [mod edit]

I could answer you all individually but that would be consider spamming and no one cares for a spammer.  So hopefully this is a good enough answer for everyone.

First, yes the code I provide will benefit me in but so is it true for anyone else in any other game they were providing such codes as well.  So saying I am lying and or pulling a fast one is not true since I am simply doing what anyone else would do if they also had a code for any game they are playing.   But if you are still thinking that I am lying to you then would that those others with other games would be lying to you as well.

As for someone saying CIG using their backers for to promote the game and before I answer that part let me enlighten some of you to the reality of the gaming Industry.  First, I don't think some of you even realize how much goes into advertising a game.   For instance, before Planetside2 when live they used as much as $400,000 plus for advertising alone which is far more then their development budget and many other games you might play have used either more then you realize.   Plus these same big gaming developers have cutout and held back game features just to keep the development cheap and squeeze as much money from you the consumers as possible and most of the stuff they sold you was pretty much useless in the game anyway.   So getting back to CIG for using backers to sell the game my answer is yes and my referral code is nothing more then a payment toward me for trying to sell the game and get something in return whether it be a decor for my hangar or something else.  Either way no one forcing you nor flooding you with spam email ads.  We are only promoting a game we love and trying to share the experience with you.  Now if prefer not to take it that is your choice.

Now you can sit there and dispute this or you can be brave and try it since it will only cost you a little bit of money like $45 for the starter package which gives you a lot for the price.  Or if prefer to listen to the trolls and not get involve then go ahead.  But don't come whining and complaining on the game forums when the game goes to beta and then live release saying I should have gotten involved from the start and why did I waste so much time listen to these trolls and missed out on the good stuff.

Don't mean to be rude but reading your OP, you are bound to get attacked.

If you wanted a real thread you wouldn't have called people trolls for not wanting to try the game.

MMORPG.com has made official referral link threads for many of other games and allowed them in those threads. Also it looks like referral links are now allowed on signatures, at least the one I reported was not acted on. So that rule might or might not be actually enforced.

I get what you're pointing out here, but haven't they had referral threads in a number of game forums otherwise? For example: http://forums.mmorpg.com/discussion/275094/post-trial-invites-or-buddy-keys-here

Perhaps the better path to take would have been for the OP (or anyone i suppose) to request an announcement/sticky for referral codes. Otherwise, these sorts of threads will just pop up and devolve into...well...what every SC thread seems too...

This game is going anywhere, we gave them $ 100 Millions upfront and now there is little desire to finish the game.

Before asking for more money, they should show us something more solid than what they have now.

Whats so special about this game? Seems a bit like that battlestar galatica serie? Its released in parts? Pay for a full game? But still need to pay for ships? Or can you also earn them ingame.  What means 3 Month Insurance on ships? Or is this a joke?

If you really need to pay for something else then the game its a big NO! But maybe if you can also earn it ingame its worth a look.

The ones you mean have been invited to CIG studios, but were too interested to get a clickbait article out the door before some other news outlet does it instead of them.  Fact checking and listening to both sides was not their forte. Understanding their own mail program and something like a SPAM folder also seems to have been outside their field of expertise.

I meant the OTHER journalists ...... dozens gaming journalists ;-)
