Only like 3 titles in this list have a real shot at doing some business, but they are not comming in 2016, so I dont know why they in here in the first place.

I find it interesting that despite the fact that hardcore and pvp focused mmorpgs continue to do badly in the West, publishers continue to push forward games with this as the games main features. Black Desert and Blade and Soul are perfect examples of this. And I believe Camelot Unchained?
What's the point? Or is the hope that millions of moba players will leave their favorite moba game and play their games instead?
Didn't you find it interesting that casual pve themeparks do as badly too?
On the other side i find interesting the attitude: "I don't like games X and Y. Why are similar ones still being made?".
Nice click bait for EQ Anything... I guess MMORPG.com would be bleeding money slowly with MMO's dying. Not that is your fault on that part but still click bait really?
The "massive" in MMO usually implies hundreds of players directly interacting in the same virtual space. I get that the market has moved away from this type of design, but it's kind of a slap in the face to older games that actually allow this type of thing to label a 16/instance or 32/instance game a "MMO".
Yep. "MMO" is a fossil word that still hangs around even though it has been stretched to near meaninglessness. But my head aches too much trying to save the world from jargon-shift, so I've stopped doing it.
Hi, can anyone here state me games on the list above ,that are not p2w model or as some wish to call them "pay to progress lightyears faster" and actually release in 2015, like not beta?
Becouse its all nice and all, but there doesnt seem to be anything there..
A couple I hadn't heard of before, and a couple that might be worth trying even if they really don't sound like my thing. KUF2 sounds kinda cool even though I am not a big RTS fan. Wish it was turn based, but still it sounds worth a look.
Some people here are predicting tumbleweeds, and yeah nothing BIG is probably going to make it out this year, some of these smaller indie games could be fun for while.
It really looks better than 2015 to me.
( Note to self-Don't say anything bad about Drizzt.)
Highly doubt Albion Online will be released in 2016 they recently extended CB to August, When that ends we'll probably have OB for a few months then release in the first half of 2017. If there's no more delays ofc.
Just a big bunch of casual PVE carebears commenting on here as usual, shouldn't come as any surprise that a snowball's chance in hell is better than the chance of the MMORPG.com crowd grasping the greatness and massive potential of a sandbox PvP MMORPG with real risk and consequence.
You forget to add the new Darkfall in the list, should be released (both visions), this year after the license deal is settled (is under negotiations).

I'm looking forward to the Western release of Moonlight Blade more than anything. Been a couple months now and I can't let myself to play any other game.

Chronicles of Elyria, only thing I'm truly excited about, only truly INNOVATIVE game I've seen in a long, long time.
No one has seen the game yet, unless you're friends with a developer.
The developer is friends with us :pleased:
They have been sharing the development cycle with us instead of asking for early access like most games are doing now, they have been asking for NO MONEY and they likely have less money than Chris Robert's had before he started taking money from gamer's with nothing to show basically just some nice PR words.
Nobody is saying COE is great yet,i think people are only excited that it is finally something different and new and not just a quick cash grab like all these other games. I would bet at least 50% of Wow players all they login in for is to run 1-2 instances, hardly "a game"that is like less than 1% of a game,so if a game like COE can captivate an audience with even 2% of game play they have already surpassed Wow.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I don't see much that makes me excited, I am following Camelot Unchained, but have little faith in it's future, guess will have to wait and see how they turn out, a really good scfi fi with space action would have my interest peaked.
Star Citizen isn't a MMOG; there are a full 16 players per instance.
If you're going to draw the circle that big, you may as well include Call of Duty and Farmville. CORPG is a more apt term I've seen used to describe it.

You need to do more research. While its true in the current pre alpha its very limited numbers per instance in the final release there will be only one game world. There will be instancing of various areas but those will be spawned/ despawned dynamically as needed giving the feel of everyone being in the same space. So yes its going to be an MMO, moreso than the majority of games out today actually.
When the last post on the forum is titled "I quit" , and after that no further posts made for over 10 months. Than you need to be pretty optimistic to believe it will still come out.
True. I'm just waiting to get an official confirmation from someone, anyone, there or formerly connected to it, so we can remove it or update it.
It's one thing to say, "I'm just waiting to get an official confirmation from someone, anyone, there or formerly connected to it, so we can remove it or update it." I can understand about verifying facts. But, don't you think it would be better not to hype it until you do?

Seems a little misleading.
