Don't forget any of those who wish to pre-order the game, This game installs 3rd party software called "XingCode3" and is not covered under their "Terms OF Service" or mentioned to any of the buyers, this software constantly runs in the background with computer startup, and has no uninstall options.

I have informed the game company, and they have failed to update their Terms OF Service, or inform buyers yet.

It's standard hack/bot protection software and it does not run on computer startup or constantly in the background. It runs when you're playing the game for protection and quits when you quit the game. Chill out man.

Look under services.msc and you will see it running there under wellbia it does run at all times and is listed under here with no way to uninstall it unless you do it manually, Most people wont notice it. Also regardless of being common or not they should inform people. The Anti-Cheat you say is common might be, but pretend im a new user unaware of it in any way at all and I just think im downloading a game and I agree specifically to the Terms OF Service of Black Desert............ I do not agree to them installing third party software by webella, or their agreement, as its not made by the same company who developed Black Desert or listed there.

I'd like to try the game before I invest any penny in to it, Wildstar had a massive hype and failed, so again would like to try this out, as I really want to play The Division and I've played the beta, and I like the game :D

There will be 7 day guest passes available when the game launches. All preorders get at least one, so if you ask around nicely you'll most likely be able to get one.

After the disappointment of B&S, i'm going to be cautious with this title, and just wait until a trial comes out.

For what it's worth, Black Desert has a fully open world with practically zero loading screens and instances. That alone makes it so much more interesting in my books.

That and the fact it looks 10 times better.

Ahh.. and here it is.. The typical roller-coaster ride.. starts with everyone getting on the hype train that gets ratcheted up the first hill, followed by the initial rush down the hill by the content locusts.

As they scream around the track they come to an abrupt end wondering why the ride was so short complaining, then, quickly move on to the next theme park ride.

This game is way too overhyped. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it's not the messiah everyone is waiting for.

Totally agree, the open world design is a major selling point for me.

I don't know that I would call it overhyped. This thread for example, which has been open for many hours, is hardly inundated with responses, and even then it's quite well split between interest and non-interest.

So are you one of those people that blew $125 bucks on B&S ?  Either way you should have done your homework on that one.  Always research before you buy, even for bdo.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

I played the Korean version with an English patch to see what all the hype was about. Played it over a few days and loved it so much I preordered the explorer's pack. If your not sure try the Korean version or there are plenty of streams and videos about to look at. I much prefer the B2P option over the F2P.

    F2P in 3 months

Remind me again... what's your prognostication track record? :)

From what I read that's what this game has done everywhere it's launched. 3 months in no one has anything to do so they quit and it's gone F2P.

Yeah? Could have sworn it was launched as F2P in Korea Japan and Russia and that the NA/EU version is the first to launch as B2P. Got any links to what you read?

sadly he is right , the game is boring as fuck with zero content

    Retired : Daoc , Warhammer , WoW , Lotro , Tabula Rasa , Everquest 2 , Aion, Eve , AoC , SW:Tor ( failwars ), Planetside 2
    Waiting : Star Citizen
    Playing : Star Citizen
    FPS : Overwatch

It will follow the usual ups and downs.
I'm just waiting for the few server restarts with the "this is the worst launch ever" to join the list of all the others with this tag.
Oh, and demands for compensation, refunds.

But what the heck, some people will love it and it won't suit others.

    Pretty usual pattern I guess.

Just a heads up for those who don't know.  The characters stop moving when you attack something.  So you can't attack while moving like other action games.  It takes some getting use to for sure.
Are you onto something or just on something?

Animation locking is pretty standard fare in action games, what games are you comparing it to?

Between this and The Division I fully expect my young children to have grown a few inches by the time I leave my man cave.

Is there going to be an MMORPG guild, @BillMurphy ? If so, are there Server/Faction considerations?

ESO, Tera, GW2, B&S   none of these games have animation locking.

For everyone that's pessimistic about the game, try it before you comment please. The game does have a bunch of content AND end game content, unlike what some crazy people say, it just might not be what you like. There's player housing, extensive gathering and crafting system, npc worker systems, trade runs, pets and mounts both with breeding and skill systems, massive pvp, very smooth combat system (tons of animation cancelling and combos, things to watch out for and decision to make in pvp, fast gameplay), npc relationship system, actual black nights, soft-level cap (lvling doesn't stop, DOESN'T STOP, but becomes an exponential grind after 50 or so), awakening weapons, guilds with paycheques, etc. People get caught up in some detail that they don't like and dismiss all the innovation that they do right. If you check the forums you can see the game creators are putting a lot of thought into how their game is made, even just on the pvp system alone. Yes, this game has grind, but I'm a person that likes some grind in my game so it's great for me. If you don't like it, you have the complete option of just choosing to play with another part of the game's system. Go cook, hunt, farm, fish, make a trading route, oversee your workers in doing it all, whatever. This game takes up a lot of time because it has grind, but also because it has a lot of stuff to do as a sandbox mmo should.
