Amazing what a player can do with just a little imagination.   Roleplayers will get this.  Made just a couple of days ago in the current build of the PU.

Funny, with all these video's it makes it hard to accept the fact there is no game to play....Must have taken ages to make a moving picture from all those jpg's!

No one says there's no tech demo with which to play around and make pretend roleplay videos. People are forced to amuse themselves with what little they have after 4 years and x dollars. That is not a game, without pretending it's a game being the game, itself.

I've already discussed, "What am I to tell people who argue there is a game, I can log into it". I'm not going to link it, you wouldn't like it.

Oh please, don't spare us, we can take it.  Release the CopyPasta you have taking up all that hard drive space.  I'm sure it's impressive.  I imagine it's similar to stalkers that have newspaper clippings an pictures plastered all over their bedroom walls.

    Keep saying it.

    There is no game!

But yes, undeniable, great video and thanks for sharing it.

It's not a "game". There are a few enemies you can shoot and a couple missions. There's no arching storyline, there's no real purpose, there's no progression, and when you log out, everything is gone. It's not even a "feature incomplete alpha". It's a tech demo.

2.2 was supposed to release in January, as per Robert's words in December. It's 3 weeks late, badly broken, includes very little that is new, and will be released in "waves" to backers, because for some reason, they can't just drop it on the populace and show what they've done.

edit: Now debate these truths or stop talking to or about me, because I'm not here to be your amusement, but to cite facts. Also, no one has explained, "what is an oedibytes of data". Many questions are conveniently avoided. It's time for answers.

For someone so old and experienced you apparently are clueless what an Alpha is.

No. I don't know you, nor do I care to know you, even with as patient as I've been with you, but I'm sure, from reading your perspective, I'm far more aligned with gaming in general, just as a hobby, than you could hope to be.

So, want to talk about what you expect to see in 2.2? Do you know much about what's supposed to be in 2.2? Do you follow the game at all? Do you belong in a conversation about Star Citizen material?

edit: Hobbit, tell me 3 features added in 2.2 in the next 3 minutes or you're going in the ignore bin.

Hey, if an instance held more than 16 people actually making some measurable impact on some "world" or "each other", I might not have a point!

Seem's like you have no clue what a concept demo would look like. Because when you login to the PU! It sure does not look like an alpha. But then that is exactly what this is all about.

When Roberts puts up a video showing the engine they built from the CryEngine I don't believe they are anywhere close to making a finished world/game. That should've been done after the 3 year mark.

But then again here is hoping Erin can pull Roberts butt out of trouble. Hearing more rumors of people leaving soon.

But again that was an awesome video and would love to play with that guy while roleplaying. That is what made the video awesome. :-D

Looking pretty good for an alpha of a game that doesn't exists!

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

Its amazing how a little imagination can make 3 minutes worth of walking to your ship and taking off look awesome.  I think the player made videos were a big reason so many people tried Eve.

LOL you are a funny guy, and not in a good way.

First. I have been gaming since I was 10, 35 years now. That is both computer gaming and tabletop gaming.

Second. I have a qualification in game design that I did because the subject interests me.

Third. My first job upon leaving school was as a programmer so while I may be very rusty I at least have 'some' knowledge.

Fourth. I have been PM for the last 20 years or so primarily in the IT industry and have even worked at a few studios. I guess the most relevant was at EA games where I actually pitched a game idea and got a nice little gift voucher just for pitching my idea.

Fifth. I have 15 more or less solid GDD's of my own that I write in my spare time and perhaps when I retire from my company I might try and follow up and turn my hobby into a nice retirement hobby.

But none of that is relevant right because people can make shit up all they want and no one can prove otherwise. Unless of course you are a world class game developer with a track record and is recognized for his portfolio of games that are there for everyone to see...but you will just ignore that too.

So in the end none of it matters. Because you will keep making shit up and throwing around comments like you know anything.

As for your ultimatum of 3 mins. Sorry, I have a life outside these forums and feel free to ignore me. I guess on the Internetz that mean I win right?

How dare you work for EA and then come here to the forums and act like you like games.

LOL love how you did that, and never answered the question. Exactly what we mean about some of you guys. Yet you expect a 100 page essay on something we say, with a 1000 links to prove it. You guys are really funny, and yes concept demos are suppose to look rather good to show the basic idea of what you want money for. That is all he gave you guys so far. 2017 till S42 and if SC does come out it won't be nothing you were told it will have.

You guys better keep giving that 3 mil a month or you will end up with nothing but concept.

Yeah it is some good role playing but sad that is the same ONE station they have and have been showing for a year now.So far there are VERY few assets in this game.Lots of ships for sale though.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
