I started with the Tamer. Tried sorc, but Wizard was so pew pew.

The mixed ranged/melee Sorceress was a lot of fun in CBT1. Cant wait for launch.

Looking forward to play Sorceress, Berserker, Valkyrie, and Witch first. Tamer and perhaps Wizard later.

Valkyrie and Ranger so far Valkyrie seems easier but to early to tell.

My list is ranger, Valkyrie, Warrior and Tamer right now for live.

Started with tamer, switched to Sorc which was a bit easier (for me), except when I get jumped I get in trouble. Overall combat feels too detached and sketchy to me, often I can't tell what exactly is going on and if I am hitting something or getting hit.. maybe more time and practice would have helped but based on what I tried, I am not quite convinced.. but nice to see some new combat approaches tried out.

Did you turn down the effects? I'm not sure what it is that's keeping you from seeing that you are hit?

Think I'm going to see how far I can get with a 'serker, even though I have to lower my head to get into buildings.

wizard tons of fun. Wish the distance to hit was alittle farther. I find it hard to judge the distance on some creatures.

o and GENDER LOCK IS DUMB. really tho

Same here. I had a hard time connecting to the Sorc, although i like the overall idea of it.
I could barely tell from skill from another, found no actual rotation or skill synergy/interaction. Basicly to me it just seemed like various melee strikes and slashes, all looking similar.

Still i bet the class is awesome if you can get behind and master it.

Yeah I found out early that turning all effects down to minimum settings helped some. It is more the uncertainty combined with the pace that makes it feel detached.. The combat is not giving me precise feedback on how I am doing and therefore it is hard to learn how to do well.
One thing I do like very much is it is not a number game.. as in it is really refreshing to not see number spam like so many other fast paced games do. So yeah I do like the idea of subtlety in combat, and I hope other games can learn to hide the number game better.

I played tamer, wizard, warrior, and ranger.

The wizard is a pve grinding god. I felt sorry for anyone grinding nearby because I was just a big maelstrom of death. Looks like it has some nice kiting potential as well. Seemed somewhat harder fighting bosses because strong skills take time to cast.

Tamer was quite exciting to play, fast wilth cool animations and lots of evades and dodges. I didn't get to unlock the pet, but pre-pet at least it was good at grinding, but nothing like the Wiz.

Warrior was slower than tamer but felt quite strategic, the combos seemed to flow quite easily even at a low level.

Ranger at low level felt kind of awkward to me, but I hear it gets much better at higher levels.

All the classes I played felt really different. The combat is kind of hard/deep. At first it seemed straight forward and then I started to accidentally hit keys that popped out combos - reproducing what I wanted to do at will was quite a challenge though.

Played Tamer, Ranger, Witch and a little of Sorc. Going to start with Tamer on the 28th. Dabbled in the game in CBT1 (got a free key from this site) but wasn't sold. Definitely had fun this time around so invested in the game.

    I'm planning to go Sorc > Tamer > Wizard/Witch. I cant wait!

I only played ranger and is was pretty clunky.  I want to move and I'm stuck in a slow motion strafe animation.  I kinda understand why they want to make you slow way down (as far as movement in combat) but it's still annoying.

I think I'll try Tamer next.

I played the Ranger also and it was very clunky feeling to me. I'm currently trying the wizard out. The wizard seems alot more powerful than the Ranger, in my opinion.

Yep, I play Kanoichi as my main but now have to stick with Tamer till either gets released. A bit of weird decision creating this sort of action combat and miss Blader class >.<

I've played a lot of the valk on cbt2, it takes some getting used to but her combos are awesome -- unless you miss a button.  Funny thing is though she has a ton of skills but the basic attack combos do almost as much damage -- for now.  I walk into hordes of enemies, mow them down, pop my self heal and head to the next group.  Valk doesn't kill nearly as fast as the caster classes but I never have to run away.  I hate running away.

Beserk is crazy fun, mindless smashing and throwing and headbutts.  you really feel like a giant.

Ranger is fun, has fun skills, it takes a while to get the skills that connect the combos though, makes for stiff combat early on.

witch/wiz is to easy PvE, nukes while running?  Nukes on horseback?

warrior is smooth and fast, good balance of damage and defense.

haven't spent time with the cat-lady or the emo-chick.

edit: yeah I am looking forward to the classes that aren't there yet.

I was thinking the same thing. I had accidentally hit something and "lo and behold" I ended up doing something very cool and very damaging.

I've started to "practice" while killing mobs concentrating on switching from certain skill to other skills. I want to be able to "conjure up" a certain skill as I need it.

I've been playing the Valkyrie this beta and found the same thing. I ended up attracting two red mobs and decided to stay and fight. It took a bit but I was able to win with a lot of moving, some potions and the self heal.

ok that explains a lot then. I tried the ranger and combat just felt horrible to me. It feels like you should be able to move and shoot at the same time or pull off something while shooting but at low levels you just sit there and attempting to move is frowned upon lol.

Coming from trying wizard to ranger is probably what turned me off but maybe I will push through to a higher level and see if the combat flows a bit better otherwise it will be shelved for other classes

Until you get evasive shot 2 the ranger is kind of difficult. Once you get that they are just super fun. Use it with the flowing cross wind. if the mob gets close use quick shot and follow with crescent kick to stun and knockback.

Rangers are difficult to learn they depend on NOT getting hit and dealing damage high critical rate which the skills support.

Use dagger of protection for groups.

One more thing get spirit healing so MP recharges in combat. you never run out of MP.
