I've played a lot of the valk on cbt2, it takes some getting used to but her combos are awesome -- unless you miss a button. Funny thing is though she has a ton of skills but the basic attack combos do almost as much damage -- for now. I walk into hordes of enemies, mow them down, pop my self heal and head to the next group. Valk doesn't kill nearly as fast as the caster classes but I never have to run away. I hate running away.
I've been playing the Valkyrie this beta and found the same thing. I ended up attracting two red mobs and decided to stay and fight. It took a bit but I was able to win with a lot of moving, some potions and the self heal.
Until i run into a purple mob.. and had to run, but was to slow and died in 3 hits from arrows.. and when i got back, i found they had killed my beloved donkey, which was quite expensive to resurect..

Well I finished up the weekend playing my wizard. Ended up at level 25. I went looking for some higher level mobs when I was level 23 or so. Found some cultists with a very dense spawn - all red or purple (the giants) to me. It took a while to get groups down but some lightning explosions, fireball explosions and a meteor now and then got the job done... lots of dodging. mana leaching, self healing and potion chugging too lol.
I enjoyed the wizard quite a bit.

Haven't played it since I am still on the fence so the feedback here has definitely been helpful. Blader was the class I was most interested in if I rolled with the game but since it won't be out for the release I wondered how is Warrior?
Basically meaning on the PvE standpoint are you stuck tanking for groups? I ran that well dry in other games and don't have much desire to be a tank in group runs though I don't mind it solo or pvp wise. Is that this warrior is about or more of a hybrid where you don't necessarily have to be a tank?
Granted from some of what I have read grouping isn't all that existent unless some folks are exaggerating.
Ranger is fun, has fun skills, it takes a while to get the skills that connect the combos though, makes for stiff combat early on.
ok that explains a lot then. I tried the ranger and combat just felt horrible to me. It feels like you should be able to move and shoot at the same time or pull off something while shooting but at low levels you just sit there and attempting to move is frowned upon lol.
Coming from trying wizard to ranger is probably what turned me off but maybe I will push through to a higher level and see if the combat flows a bit better otherwise it will be shelved for other classes
Yeah the ranger early on was really not fun. Stiff and clunky are good words. Glad to hear it improves quite a bit as you level.
I think I'll try tamer next.
I found a few mobs tough but as I'm allowed to chug potions (almost constantly) I won. I really think they need to revisit potion cooldowns or something.
