Still haven't tried BD, but i might one day.  I hear mixed reviews from a lot of people.  I didn't vote on poll either, since there's no option, "I started mmos 2 months before WoW, which doesn't make me a "veteran", but a pre-WoW noob".  ;)

DAOC was my first MMO. I always wanted to play UO but my internet was too crappy for that back in the days.

I liked the game...but WoW was not my first MMO.

Kids are not going to play BDO,  The learning curve is too high for them.
Ha! I'm sure kids just have more time to actually play the game, instead of being stuck at work with sites like this being the next best thing :D

My hope is that BDO could be their first real MMO and we can at last see the cycle starting to break.

    No, mmorpg.com is.

Judging by the content of general chat on my server, the population of BDO is much, much younger than this poll suggests.

They are all 15-20 yr old Muppets. I rarely look at chat and the forums are meh. I mean someone said in chat that GW2 is dead and empty xD and that MMORPG.com is only for reviewing games. If anything could make me hate this game it's the shitty community. Lucky I can mute the chat. Here's to hoping they get bored and move onto the next FOTM soon.

I'm 43 and a businessman. Have a wife and two kids. I play an hour a day so e says and 3-4 hours some nights when the kids are in bed and the wife is out. There's so much to do and I've seen few muppets in chat.

Just voted that I do not like the game because of the action combat. Which is something I do not really like/need in an MMO. But of course I know it's the current trend.

Otherwise I think BDO actually is quite a good MMO with some interesting features. Hopefully for BDO fans it can keep its momentum.

    My first MMO was Everquest.

I haven't voted because I'm in  two minds about this one. I enjoyed the time I've managed to spend playing (keep getting disconnected so that hasn't been a heck of a lot) but their financial model sours things to some extent. Shop prices are far too high considering we have to buy the game in the first place and some characters get to walk about in a shredded potato sack as an incentive to use the shop.

The translations from Korean to English seem to have been done by Korean schoolkids - they're sometimes hilarious and other times leave me scratching my head.

It is a nice looking game and the combat is fun once you learn some of the (hard coded) combo's but, if you can't stay online you can't play...simples.

I don't think age group has anything to do with liking BDO. It's super diverse, so a lot of different people would like it. I like it, and I have been playing MMO's since Lineage 2 launched, dabbled in a bit before then but not too hardcore.

"No opinion on this game, I got into games when you had to code them yourself."

(Still not exactly sure why the generational gamer cred check matters to the op. He's looking for poll support of a personal theory? Or poll support that the average age of readers of this site is...well, getting up there?)
