I haven't played any of the beta tests but will be playing once it actually launches, anything Important I should know going in? For those who tested, how did you like the game?
Yes before you install the game know that it installs "XingCode3" Anti Cheat along with it before you buy, or download for that matter, I personally don't trust it so I wont play the game even after buying the founders pack.
Also be aware that character names maybe hard to find something you like because all names are generally taken the game doesn't have Last Name system like most games are coming out with these days.

Do you feel like PvP it may be OK but the PvP system is in need of some tweaking IMO. You won't be able to PvP until 45 which is good but if you don't want PvP you will be stuck at 44 forever.
Gameplay is smooth and very open world feel. I can only speak for Valkyrie and ranger. Ranger is hard to get started but get more powerful as you level. Valk is just ... powerful.
Game introduction and basic tutorial are a bit hard to follow.
UI is not like your normal MMORPG so it will take time to learn the UI.
I really like the game and plan to go beyond 45 at some point but I am also concerned with the PvE crowd leaving early due to no more leveling past 44 ever. I guess they are cutting it off there so all new content will be useless unless the PvE decides to go PvP.
Overall the game is fantastic. The chat is rather risqué sometimes and people generally are nice but that was CBT.
It honestly took two Beta tests for me to be sold on the game. (My fault not the games) The first Beta I just quested and focused on combat. The second Beta I focused mostly on noncombat activities. This is what sold me. Plus I found a class I really liked. (Valk) The game is just really wide open. You can quest if you chose to but it is not a quest focused game like EQ. The trading part of the game is my favorite and plays more like a strategy game than anything else. The game is optimized well and the world is beautiful. I have been very surprised with the game and for me anyway it has lived up to the hype.
EQ? Quest based? Game must of changed a lot in the last 10 years.
I love it. One of the rare MMOs in a long time where I actually grabbed the pre-order pack, and where I'm anxiously counting down to my headstart this Sunday.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
I plan on enjoying the game a great deal. I'm not a big fan of OWPvP but since it doesn't start until 45 and there's a metric crapton of other things I want to do I will have a good grasp on combat when I get there.
Maybe there is a misconception about end game here?
First, to have an end game you need an end and BDO has no end.
I said elsewhere to level to softcap is easy (50) to level to hardcap is hell (60) to make 61 is equal to making it from 1 to 60. to make 62 is equal to 1 to 61 and so on. you can grind 24/7 for 100 years and not reach the end.

Most seem to look at 50+ as "end game" and 55.99 is the cap for NA/EU for now.

NM LOL yeah you need the update which is 2 months?

Correct, EQ was 99% grind, not questing. People who lie about having played EQ are easy to spot.

No clue on updates. Soon is the standard answer. Seems like it only took them a couple months to add in things for RU, but RU is different publisher. Could be 6 months or a week.

Thanks for the info. Any info is welcome. I been searching for as much as I can find on mechanics and how to use them for advantage so haven't pursued this.
Unlike here, you can actually PK trolls in the game.
It's fun, it's not carebare, it won't hold your hand, ton's of content to do, it's not a themepark, it's not an instanced dungeon gear treadmill. it's not a tab-targeting game.

I think it's a great game and plan on making it my main game. Having said that, I really would look at some of the posts in this forum to see people's opinions. A lot has been said and it would be better if you just looked at threads that have already gone through a lot of stuff.

I liked it enough to buy the $100 version and spend a couple months in KR version to learn the game just to uninstall and lose all that progress.
Lots of videos/guides out there and unless you want to take a good while learning all the systems in the game, I'd take a look at a few of them.

Unfortunate so many see this as the only possible way to design a game.

Do you enjoy PVP endgame?
Do you enjoy sandbox elements?
If you answered yes to those three questions, you may like BDO.
