If there's something I learned from this wonderful place is that no matter how good a game is, when it's released or near release, it's bashing time. No seriously some people in here have made their life goal to bash on games as much as they can. Just think about it, Archeage was hyped up... ended being bashed to no stop... B&S was hyped up... bashed once more.... I mean there's this game called pantheon and it's already recieving bashing and I think it only has like 1 trailer or something...
but of course let's not forget the most important one... of course you know who it is, our good friend BDO.. the one and only BDO... but BDO isn't like the other ones, NOOOooo BDO doesn't try to be like the other ones, it doesn't try to be the old "grind to max level to grind the same raid over and over again until you have better gear to once again grind the same raid but on a harder difficulty"... no it tends to focus on the adventure and not the "end" since tecnically it doesn't have an end... it just gives us tools to play around in the world and do what we feel like... yet people still bash on it. The world in this game is beyond any other MMO world I've ever seen yet people still rush to 50, skip all the quests and systems the game offers and then are like "but where's the content"...
but you know I thought to myself a little and then I realised... people in here will never be happy... maybe it's not the game, maybe it's the community. MMO's have been so stale lately that they have to constantly bash on a game or they'll die on the inside... and I'm not gonna criticise you for that... that is not my intention at all... tbh I don't have an intention... I'm just curious to know who's the next victim? what's the next hyped up that will recieve the fury of the ones who call themselves true "MMO fans"... I'm guessing it's Bless Online right? Everyone's hyping bless online so it's gonna be entertaining to see it being released and then recieving the most ridiculous complains ever by people that never played it (hmm kinda like what's happening right now)...
Let's do this my fellow soliders, let's show the world how angry the true MMO fans are

I heard the Russian version was F2P with elements of P2W in the cash shop? Could that have something to do with people moving away from the game there, because the game mechanics are very sound.
5-6 second cooldown on pots is fine when you don't have dedicated healers. I wish I could toggle them to pop when the cooldown is up like I could with shots in L2. Pot based healing is refreshing when most MMO's depend on the holy trinity of party make-up.
However, it would be nice if mobs hit a little harder. The game clearly expects you to use a lot of pots.
Give it 4-6 month and we can start talking about population. Until then, all we have is a history of mmorpgs that did well in their first week and then took a dive into nothingness.
Make it F2P again, remove forced pvp, let casuals hang out and breed horses in peace, and this game might survive ~
There are just some truly blind supporters praising the game ridiculously and that is when criticism raises up - not as much to criticize the game itself but it's absurd glorification.

How are you being ganked while trying to tame a horse in a game that requires people to pay to PvP another guild, or flag themselves to be attacked, and even allows you to move between instances of the server?
I actually wish they had a free for all sever, because from my understanding all of the PvP in the game is either guild based, requiring hourly payments, or is consensual.
At least I've never been ganked by anyone while I'm out taming horses, and I spend a lot of time just doing that.
I find it funny when people sit and sh*t talk this game, day in and day out, in the game itself! It obviously is good enough that they are logged in so why the hate? Like the OP said this game has everything enjoy it. You want to grind to 50 that is on you. Don't say the game lacks content when you aren't even doing anything.
You are skipping getting contribution points from quests to open nodes. This allows you to say fish somewhere and then be able to sell your fish for higher prices. If you don't open your nodes you will only be able to get 30% of the profit. You need to eat food to level your health. Run around on foot to level breathing, put weighted backpacks on for strength training, maybe go plant a garden, get a shipyard to build a ship, being able to get housing which effects how many workers you can have, capture and breed horses.
This game is the most aesthetically beautiful game out there. If it rains it gets dark out. The rain water actually creates streams and lakes you can fish in. If it's a drought the water dries up. Also take a look up close at your character who is soaking wet dripping and shimmering of water. Night and day cycles. Sieges are going to happen when more people get to 45+ Some are taking there time because there is so much to do and explore and guess what? It all works and isn't broken. Daum did a great job on this game. It is actually quite lifelike in that respect.
Why do people keep hating every MMO that comes out? Are we just so damn sick of having failing games that this is just normal to pick a functioning game apart that offers you a million things to do? So what if people are getting 1 shot by +15 rangers. You can practically 15 everything before hitting 45. A majority of the server isn't even 45 yet. We all know we have to pvp in this game. We got 45 levels to learn our character and the training wheels are off.
It is pvp someone will always out gear and out play you no matter how good you are. I am tired of the this is a solo person game. It is, but it isn't. You can solo the first 45 levels sure or you can periodically get groups. We'll if you actually know how to pvp you know to survive you need to make friends and roll in a group. Going out solo all the time to quest you will probably be killed. With a few friends around some people will think twice about attacking thus letting you get more xp ing in to level. Also if you get ganked two or 3 times in your spot go somewhere else and go back to that place later.
Don't sit and cry because that +15 ranger keeps killing you. Of course he is going to kill you over and over. Have you ever 1 shot someone for the first time. It's pretty epic. Just use your head and and go somewhere else. If they kill you 50 times in a row that is for your own stupidity amd quiet frankly you deserve it. But please don't go on the forums and in the general chat crying about how the game sucks. In the end it doesn't suck it is just your being unhappy with BDO.
Clearly you are unhappy with every single other mmo you have played and just want to cut it down and if you keep doing that you're missing out on a pretty epic game we haven't really gotten before. It is pretty evolved try to enjoy it because the next 10 mmos that come out you will be in a vicious cycle crying all over again. Basically stop being so damn negative about something and try to be positive. It is what you make of it.
Especially you younger people. Your generation is basically scared of any interaction with humans. Go group make friends, be apart of a guild group with all them. Then watch who has your back when you're out questing and get ganged by that damn pesky ranger again. They will go down there and hand him his ass. So everyone crying it's a solo game that is all on you. You guys make it that way and do it to yourselves. You actually get group xp bonuses for grouping up. Hmm maybe being social gets you to level up even faster?! Make some fu*kin friends people and enjoy this amazing game! /endrant

Just saw another thread about how there's "so much to do." I just didn't have the heart to burst his bubble. It took me the better part of beta + another 1 to 2 weeks to explore the world in its entirety. I thought, well at least there is all this other stuff, which mostly turned out to be super shallow content that doesn't really seem fleshed out. Neat ideas, but I can't help to feel like they're more gimmicks than anything else. I don't even think p2w killed AA as fast as a lack of meaningful content will kill this game.
The quest content is probably of the lowest caliber since ever. Just more of the same. Monotonous busy work. And dailies. Ugh can't people give that horrible system a rest? And don't get me started on the combat. I actually miss Tera and Neverwinter after playing this. Its that bad.
edit:
oh and this is what I learned playing on a friends account when he wasn't online. I'd hate for anyone to be left with the impression that I actually spent money on this game.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But if you do enjoy the game more power to you of course!
Reality is, people are bored to all high hell and there only recourse is to make the developers of the game burn in hell for their boredom.
If you're looking for a civilized discourse about games, this website is about as far from what you are looking for as you can get. Heck, even a Trump rally is tame by comparison.
Why the need to "burst people's bubbles"? What will you gain? Making people not happy is something so good? See I don't get your type. Why not move on? Constructive criticism is one, going in a game discussion board just to bash it is another.
Nobody is stopping you from playing Tera or Neverwinter. I'm sure many people would laugh if you think those games are a huge success.
