If you are a Vet every MMO is very familiar.

PvP is very unbalanced gearcentric. Dominated by BiS, you will never have a chance unless RNG is in your favor.
MMORPGs aren't easy, You're just too PRO!

I honestly have nothing against Webzen.
so do you think Webzen will do this game justice or ruin it ?

I think they will allow for the developer to continue to do what they do within the business model that makes since for them, Webzen the publisher. As all publishers do. If it does not make fiscal sense then they will shut it down. If it generates enough ROI then sure, they will support it. It is a business. Not a charity. If the business is there, players spending money and being active, then yes they will allow for more development and expansions and content same as any publisher does. The question remains if enough players will stay around to make it worth their business wild. Only time will tell with that one. On a positive note I have seen more ads for it lately.
I wouldn't expect anything productive to come out of the office that is in charge os the US/EU servers you read that recent review on glassdoor they have already shown they are understaffed and it seems like it's not a great place to work.

     https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Reviews/Webzen-Reviews-E34762.htm?&countryRedirect=true

Like i have said before i have seen private servers get more attention than what Webzen are giving this game if you can't see that they are just putting as little effort in as possble then you must be used to this type of service i am as well when i used to play gpotato games i am seriously getting de ja vu.

They got this  cheap to try and bring revenue to the falling revenue which is mentioned it that review i don't know how bad the dublin office is but i doubt they are investing much into Asta and it's showing.

Everyone that thinks Asta is a great game barely made it over lvl 10, because at lvl 50 there is absouletly no content to make you want to log in. The game is fun till you reach lvl 20 past that its just same fuking crap we got over the years. There are like 4 mobs and they keep coming on every map jsut with different colour and a new name. There are like 4 quest types that will mindfuck your brain if you play for longer then 2h. The dungeons have the poorest design a mmo could get, mobs are static standing in 1 place- if you kill the first 2 the next 2 are triggered etc. In lvl 50 there are like 4 dungeons that are the same fuking trash: Arena with 1 boss- kill the trash around boss and boss is triggered. same dungeons with different colour.
If there was a rating for this poor trash game, that was abadoned by biggest publisher in Korea and is doing poorly on every other countrys, then it would be a 4/10

Does this game have PvP at some level you cannot avoid ?

Unlike so many of the MMOs coming out of Korea, you are never forced to PvP. Personally, I like PvP, and often venture into PvP enabled zones in ESO, but it is on my terms. I decide when I want to PvP. ASTA is the same, you always have a choice. That said, this game won't devolve into a gank-fest anytime soon. The attraction of this game is its strong PvE, and the players it is attracting are in it for the PvE.

Man either your lying or never played it. Its already a gankfest and as proof go to the game board and read the threads on this. The game is faction lopsided so its really bad. And the community is always fighting about it. The ingame chat is filled with swearing and fighting all the time. The community has got so bad that its becoming one of the worse i've ever seen in a game that's still only in beta. So many people have quit already. You must have never played this game or are looking to get more people sucked in to this mess.

Blue hardly posts negative about Asta but i brought this up as well but i think people just think there is that crazy lady again moaning. lol

Actually that was not my post he was responding to look again ;)

I have voiced concerns about the game. My review which will be posted by this Sunday will go into detail those concerns. Yet I do like the game. So what? go post positive posts on a thread about a game you do like! Instead of just more negative. Which we have way too much of on this site as is.

I was posting positive on this game i am just warning people of the things going wrong which you seem to think webzen will sort out but the game will probably end up just like Archlord 2 i don't know about that game but that is what others are saying and seems like Webzen could be struggling so don't expect much invested in the game seen it happen before this game is no special you can dismiss the review yourself but i think it's pretty clear and makes sense to me i can actually see the signs.

Am i the only one who can see what is going to happen or can anyone see it ?

i will go fix my post sorry.

Like i said to anyone thinking about trying this game just go look at the really ugly threads on the game boards over the pvp ganking for your self. I'M not making this up.

Alright. Can we stop calling all new MMORPGs WoW-clones already? At least, can writers and editors stop doing so? Leave that to the masses, so they can feel smug, like when they read the Stephenie Meyer books BEFORE they went and watched the movies three times.

WoW has copied and adopted so many features of games over the years that you cannot make an MMORPG WITHOUT having some of the same features in it. Labeling a new game then as a clone of the master of copying stuff just clouds the issue, pouring out the baby with the bath water.

Unless a game also implements all the features, AND ONLY THOSE, of the original, aka vanilla, WoW, don't call it a WoW clone.

As a writer, it's just lazy.

While I did see the terms wow copycat and knockoff, you are the only person saying WOW clone.

Author seemed to be spot on in his word usage and if you think all games can't help but be the same you need to broaden your play list some.

There is still room for variety and creativity in the genre even if most have forgotten how.

    I like the game.
With every F2P title people complained that they want it to be more F2P, not too far off the WoW formula, not too over the top asian themed, have familiar classes/trinity, be casual, be easy on the hardware, etc. etc.

Now there is ASTA checking these boxes...and yet people complain.

Lol, weird vendetta against Webzen is weird. Particularly the inclusion of a glassdoor page that really doesn't have much to do with anything other than furthering your personal crusade against Webzen and share former employees' sour grapes with a broader audience than might normally.

The Review has nothing to do with the way Asta is run that office is in charge of the Game for US and EU so i think it's worth mentioning it also says falling revenue and apparently you can look that up it's also mentioned in the review if you click show more there is more to that review i haven't looked up this falling revenue because i can't be bothered i am just posting what i know and what will obviously happen and if you cared about the game this would bother you too even the state of the game at the moment isn't great.

You mean the falling revenue that is actually an increase in revenue of 225% Year over Year? The guy lied. See the thing is Webzen is a public company so their financials are released.

    Webzen
3Q15      3Q14          2Q14   Quarter over Quarter  Year over Year
    78,222     71,295    24,044             9.7%                          225.3%

    Revenues on Game Services
    78,171     71,231      23,971           9.7%                           226.1%

Is that for the Dublin office because we are talking exclusively about the Dublin office in charge of US/EU servers ?
