Don't forget that when you walk around you can run into your workers coming and going while doing the tasks you assigned them which is a nice little touch

So how akin is this energy system to AA's labor system? Sounds like the same thing to me but with a different name.

Energy system is different in that your energy pool starts small and can get bigger as you level up/do quests and stuff. It regenerates faster and since there's no sub it regenerates consistently online and offline.

It's a way to enforce growth in player activities by letting their capacity to do energy-intensive things increase as they play as well as a means to mitigate players spamming certain activities (like energy is actually tied to channel chat, so people who spam the chat alot are also consuming all their energy).

Also as said in the video, energy regens pretty quickly while laying in a bed. At about 3x the normal rate.

Even still, this is one of the most immersive MMOs you will play. PS: the energy system is nothing like Archeage. It's not tied to real money transactions in any way, and it just serves as a way of making decisions on where to invest it while you play. It regenerates quickly so sleep in a bed while afk or grind some levels and it will be full.
Now Playing: Bless / Summoners War
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

    OMG! BDO blows chunks!
I just bought it, and the dual dialog, i.e. voiceover says one thing while text says something different, all in senseless poor English is like watching a bad Kung Fu movie!

You can move all the UI and put them outside of the game, literally. But that only benefits if you have a big screen because you are basically cropping the game screen to make space for the UI. I need to try that on my 43 inch tv because my 24-26 inch monitor is too small. But hey at least there is a way to play the game with zero UI clutter.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=DDvPEvWjRlM i guess maybe Hive Leader was not aware of that feature.

I tried the game..and..well not only did I get fooled by everyone saying this is the best looking MMO yet, It's absolutly NOT the best looking MMO IMO, for example ESO and TSW looks better .It may have newer graphical effects but that doesnt make it better looking. Babes running around in skimpy outfits, plaease...are the players of these type of games 13 ?

Secondly..Whats up with the combatsystem..It just explodes with sounds and some sort of fireworks show and all of a sudden Everything is dead..I almost had no clue what the hell my characther was doing..So stupid..I guess its a asian thing..

Third. The talking with NPCs is so fantastically bad, it's not even funny..

Seriously ...I can't see what everyone is so hyped about in this game, yeah it may have some great sandbox features, but please make a solid translation and tone down the over the top fireworks in combat, hire some REAL voice artists and you MAY have a solid base for a game, I found it so bad I coudn't play it for more than a couple of hours Before I had it.

The characther creator is good, but ...But my guess noone wi´ll ever notice that ingame anyway..

You're certainly entitled to your opinions, but please don't misinform people in pursuit of some personal vendetta.

On the graphics end, the model detail and rendering is very simply better than most other games (most definitely TSW and it's limited/smooth texture details, ESO's stylized art and simple geometry doesn't really fare better there).

If you would like to say you like the stylized design of ESO/TSW then that's a fair comment, but if you are going to judge the graphical detail  and subsequent quality, BDO is technically better.

As for the outfits, that's a really awkward and inaccurate statement. The only class which has any "skimpy" attire is the sorceress, and while the valk and archer have the skirt thing going on, they aren't superfluously skimpy or otherwise. The witch and tamer don't even have such cosmetic options (the karlstein set comes closest and that outfit covers most of the body.

Combat system the visual effects are scalable. If you couldn't see what was going on then perhaps try turning that down a bit next time.

Talking with NPCs is the same as it is in most games. You have an interact button and you spam the shit out of it.

If you are referring to the minigame, that's not regular conversation but a side activity you can use to unlock items to buy, quests, etc. It's basically a simple puxzzle game coupled with a collecting game as you gain knowledge subjects to use in it by interacting with other NPCs and things in the game world.

Im not misinforming anyone..It's what I think about this game

Well..I wrote that BDO may have "better Tech" in regards to Graphics, but that does not mean that it has better looking Graphics or style as you like to call it.,

2 No skimpy outfits ?? ..ok..again..lol ..that is what you think. I think the dresses are silly and yet again..no misinformation ..The dresses may not show all skin and such to be silly..Running around fighting in high heels is just silly and VERY unpractical and for a game that wants to be taken serious flat out stupid.

3 scalable Visual effects, thats nice ..is there an option to tone down the super silly soundeffects while fighting aswell ? Or are we supose to belive that Everything explodes while we are swinging a staff at enemies ?

4 Ohh I have an interact button to spam ..:) lol Yeah I noticed, and that is also partly why it's so poor. since you obviously judged both TSW and ESO you know what a good system for interaction with NPC could be like..So no 2016 most MMO's doesn't have that kind of piss poor system.

The only thing that may have been some misinformation regading my post may have been the Visual effects, but since the game sets it at that level at default I most certainly didnt lie.

I'm sorry for offending a game that you like..personally I didnt like it at all and that is what I wrote,

I agree with what you say, the game is terrible.

Your first argument is that of a style preference then, not a matter of one or the other being better.

Your attire option is apparently of things being "silly", but you chose to use skimpy as the descriptor. Though again, not all the classes use outfits with heels on them. Sorceress is very intentionally the more bait type design, Valk it varies on outfit alongside archer, and witch/tamer wear flat shoes (karlstein armor being the exception as it's a universal armor).

There are multiple audio sliders to tone down certain parts of the audio, so yes.

ESO's interact system was remarkably shallow and TSW was similarly window boxes to generally spam your way through, they are not good examples in either case of good interaction. Ironically, SWTOR would probably stand as one of the better examples with dialogue having regular delivery of choice and action/reaction tied to the dialogue (and even there it's normal to spam your way through everything).

Why I called your post misinformation is that you presented an opinion without any qualification that what you were saying about the content wasn't necessarily true in an objective context.

If it were written in the context of "you didn't like the graphic style, that the closes were too ridiculous, that you dialogue wasn't interesting, etc" then all is well and good.

But that's not what was written, you made an accusation about what the game is and does in a context that made it look like an objective value of the game.

Whether or not I like the game is irrelevant to that point. I can make plenty of criticism myself about any game, but I remain intent on dividing my opinions from any objective statement of a game's features.

EDIT: For example, if you asked me what my favored graphic style is I actually prefer a more stylized one rather than the art direction they took in BDO. That doesn't make the graphics in the game worse, that just means I don't like it as much.

Or for example how I can say EVE is/was a well designed game, even though I have never liked it.

The idea that someone can dislike a game that other's like isn't an unnatural or disagreeable one. Different people like different things. The complaint comes from the mistake of saying something in an objective context without an objective reason.

I remember back in the day when EQ, and DAoC players tried to tell everyone how bad WoW was. Same thing happening now with ESO players, they are stuck in a game they put tons of money/time into and it's already old compared to BDO. That's the gaming market folks, don't be salty. I wish all games were made like the one I love too (DAoC) but they aren't.

I'm glad Hiveleader kept it honest about the game, too many sites giving off color reviews to please their rabid readers who crave it's failure.

It doesn't look like you really played this game, you level faster by not doing any quest or speaking to any NPC.
Quests are an an afterthought in this game, they are not necessary to enjoy the game, which has much more to offer than that.
