I better exspain what I mean by simple. Basicly, you kill, sell loot (or use it if you can), kill again, get better stuff, kill soe more, repeat. Like MMO god Lineage 2 or MMO demi-god RYL.

Wheres the immersiveness in that?  L2 is arguably one of the worst MMO's out there, because of the massive grind/bots/hackers/1337b0yz/griefers.

Whether Braid MCQuaid is Christ on earth or not, needs to be confirmed, and you don't have prove of the contrary.
Seriously, no one can't deny that Brad is the person with the "vision", who created one of the most succesful MMO ever.
And on top of being a great game designer Brad is also a clever businessman, since he spotted a hole in the market and decided to fill it in by leaving SOE and developing the game by himself.
EQ was buggy and had broken features?
C'mon mate, you are talking about a 6 years old game, EQ was pioneer of the MMO genre and of course the team had to pay the price of developing something completely new.
But what excuse do the other 100 games that came out after EQ have? They could have learned something from EQ, still managed to launch with shit load of bugs.

The original developer team is was not that hot back then and i´m keeping a healthy dose of sceptecism about vanguard, dont get me wrong, i am looking forward to it, but the game wont be the messiah of mmorpg´s, it is not implementing anything ground braking and as such, dont expect more than it will be able to offer.
Ok, but who said that originality is a positive thing?
    I beg to differ.
I believe that making a solid and enjoyable game is much better than an original and souless game.
Improving a game like EQ and updating it to 2005 standards is good enough for me, and for lots of other people (and by the way, Vanguard will have some original features).
Now to this little comment "Vanguard will have at least 750K", that is very wishfull thinking on your part for a game that is comming to an already saturated fantasy mmorpg market, the only mmorpg´s that have brken that number in recent years are lineage 1, 2 and WoW, and thoese games cater to many players because:
You seems to make the same mistake of SOE.
    THE MARKET IS NOT SATURATED.
It is full of casual player games, but there is nothing decent for the old school, apart for ancient games like EQ, AC, DAOC, and UO, which eventually have to die.
I am pretty sure that those kind of players will find Vanguard very appealing.
    a) WoW is solo friendly and not group intensive, Vanguard wwont be either, from what the devs have said, as such, there goes the biggest chunk of the market, the casual players. lets face, vanguard is the least apealing game for the casual gamer, comming out next year.
Can't you see that this is exactly the point?
Vanguard is not for the casual gamer, and it won't have lots of competitions, since it is aimed for the old school players, and there are not lots of game coming out soon that will cater for this category of players.
You seems to understimate the number of core players mate.
We are not just few thousands.
b)l lineage 1 and 2 have intensive pvp and competition between the players, vanguard devs have said time and again that they are not catering to the pvp crowd, there goes the second largest chunk of the market.
You should know that lots of people hate PVP, and those are quite a big numbers not a few.
So it won't be such a biggie.
From what i can see of vanguard, it might get on par with eq1´s current player numbers and peak at 500.000, but then again, we are both making assumptions here, arent we?
Between EQ, AC, DAOC, and UO, they have around 1 million subscribers, add to this number the people that are not currently subscribed to any game and are waiting for the right one (i am one of them), add to this number the new players that are just discovering the MMOs and would be very much interested in a old school game like Vanguard, and you will get a potential player base of around 1.5 Million players, that could move to play Vanguard if Sigil keep their promises (the number of new MMO player is increasing esponencially each year)

750K is very achieveable, since Vanguard is the only new game aimed to the core players that look professional and well done. (DnL looks nice but I believe that the devs don't have the experience to pull off an awesome game).
Also Vanguard will be supported by Microsoft, so it would have much more exposure than EQ2.
Anyway If Vanguard will achieve only 500K players, I believe Sigil would be more than happy, and it would have beaten EQ2 by a long way.

Time will tell but watch this space, and you will tell me in one year time if I was wrong or right image

For me, Vanguard is going to be my home sweet home.

I (like many) started playing EQ in 98'.  It was a great game!  I love almost every aspect of it.  Then a few expansions came out that i did not like, and I left. (Planes of Power).  EQ2 had me all hyped up, upgraded graphics and the gameplay i love, with a few tweaks of course.  Then the big dissapointment knows as release day came.  EQ2 was not even close to on target to Everquest.

Vanguard promises to be all i am looking for in an MMO.  And IF they deliver, i will be a long time player.  IF they do not deliver, well, looks like I will have to continue with DAoC.

Now, while I think Vanguard sounds interesting and hope it does well, that seems to be a pretty bold statement to make considering the game is catering to a specific playerbase.

It is a bold statement, but I also think he's right on - and here's why: World of Warcraft.

WoW has brought in a bunch of players who wouldn't have tried MMOs and decided to give it a whirl. A lot of these players (myself included) have said wow, this is a lot of fun, but I wish it were a bit harder and deeper. Perhaps they wish the community was a bit more mature. I think a lot of us are looking for more challenge and depth to a game.

Vanguard's timing is going to be pretty good for stealing those of us who are disenchanted with WoW, but have discovered that we like the concept of an MMO. It also appeals to the old EQers and UOers through the type of game it is, and the deep crafting system.

Quite frankly, I couldn't be more excited for this one to be released.
