Of course it's only from the cash shop.  Seems like every game is making an effort to make gear butt ass ugly, then saving the day by adding ornamentations or better gear in the cash shop.  Makes me want to puke.

They should be creating content for the game and fixing pvp but of course this brings the money.

Odd comment considering this will be part of a content update :P.

i wish they stopped being so greedy with everything new they implement. just because you're a f2p game doesn't mean you have to tie every new thing to cash shop or sub.

Greed is a two way street, if people were actually willing to pay for their entertainment, we might not be where we are today with cash-shops and F2P systems. In the end who's truly greedy, the party who puts in the work, makes a product and sells it, or the person who expects it for free?

This should be available for subscribers without having to spend CP, imho.

On the other hand long term subbers probably sit on top of a gazillion of CP, like i do. :p

Not quite,ALL game items should be crafted within the game and NOTHING in the game should be sold in cash shops. The integrity of the game and the business is lost.

You should NEVER be selling game items in real life, the only stuff sold in cash shops should be fluff or non game related ,non game interfering items, example posters, figurines, trophies, prizes etc etc.

i usually only play games with a sub.. but these guys go overboard with it.  if they want to push for subs as they do that is fine.. but to then go and put everything cool they make in gambling boxes just makes them look like assholes tbh.

You get 500 CC each month if you sub. So you can get it for free.

On that point I agree, putting anything behind a pay-wall stacked with RNG, is a bad idea IMO.

It's rather strange how you comment on every single swtor thread even though you don't play it.

Im pretty sure most people would call an item that "flairs" up a weapon as fluff and non game related, non game interfering item.  So not really sure what you are complaining about besides its a swtor thread so you had to complain.

Except you won't have to buy them in the CM you can wait two days and buy them on the AH.   Credits are not hard to come buy in this game.

still someone has to take that gamble for you to be able to buy it of the GTN.

it's a predatory way of getting cash which most people dont approve of and it usually targets people who are prone to addiction. you should be able to pick out the stuff you wish to spend real cash on. they can still have gambling boxes for those that really really like it though(box o' random toys etc.).. but they should not be the main source to get the new items.

Most people also don't approve of people that use terms like "most people"  as the factual basis to their entire argument. . .

    . . .and that's a fact.

I always love when people try to claim they know how "most people feel". Do you have a link to back up your knowledge of how "most" people feel.  Again a person does not have an addiction because they spend money on a hobby that absolutely ignorant to say.  People spend a lot more money on season tickets to a sporting event, a hobby of fixing cars, a hobby collecting junk.  I don't understand how people like you think you can judge someone spending $25, $100 or even $1000 extra on a hobby they enjoy.  And say they have issues because of it.  No offense but I think people like you who worry about how others send their money are the ones with issues.

Again they are not the main source, the AH will be littered with them two days later.

@Tasslehoff35 I think the problem here is not that other people are spending money on it... it is more that developers are going out of their way to put more lock-box content in. It comes off as disingenuous when you are putting the majority of content in a cash shop in a game with a subscription.

I personally don't care what people spend on a game, I do however stop playing games when cash shop becomes a major focus... like SWTOR. I do miss the game though.
