Yugi-oh , power of chaos . Stronghold Crusader , skyrim . Sometime i come back for old MMORPGs just to see the change and understand they wasn't the old friends i knew anymore
I've gone back to EQ2 like 5 times. Seems that every time I take up a new MMO, it eventually leads me back there. I haven't played it in a year or two though, so I don't know the current status of the game.
Older mmo? I am always tempted to go back to L2 but it seems i might have to get a SSD drive to make it run better (for some reason it's really laggy for me) and I've been lazy about that.
As far as single player games, Andromeda, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Undying, Masters of Orion 2 and Morrowind are all on my computer so that I can take advantage of them when time permits.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

I have a high end pc with ssd and every game I play is set on highest setting without any issues, L2 though lagged as hell it's not the machine it's a f2p game that servers suck ass.

The thing is, it used to be a sub game. Maybe they do have worse servers? Not sure. it's just unplayable for me at the moment. Sad that you have a good machine with an ssd drive and it's still bad.

SWG - I played at release through to jedi village. Never went back to official game, but returned to the Emu on a few occasions. Was fun but last time I played was still buggy. Have been meaning to go back again recently to check it out, but don't have as much free time as I used to.
LotRO - I played from release through to Isenguard. I did quit when WAR was released but came back 6 months later when I was "done" with WAR. I had fun when I returned (was a few month in to moria xpac when I returned) but the game had started it's downward trend in terms of dumbing down. However, due to great guild, fun pvp and some interesting endgame activities I still played it for years. Finally left when SW:TOR came out.
WAR - I returned to official game for a 2 month stretch at some point. The power gap by that point was insane, however, they'd made it very easy to rank up and gain gear so I just ground scenarios for most of the time. Was OK returning but I really needed to be in a big guild to get the most out of it. I have recently returned to the emulator (RoR), only put in a few hours so far. Seems OK again, fun doing the old scenarios but I need to put in a lot of work to reach the higher tiers and skill unlocks before the game comes into its own.
For single player games, I'm constantly returning to old games! Partly, it is because steam and gog keep selling old games for really cheap so its fun collecting and playing them. I'm 30 hrs into FF9 at the moment, also bought rogue squadron the other day. I'm not impressed by graphics, I only care about gameplay mechanics so older games are often more fun for me. Having said that, I am also playing the new Total War: Warhammer and loving it!
Currently Playing: WAR RoR - Spitt rr7X Black Orc | Scrotling rr6X Squig Herder | Scabrous rr4X Shaman
Just yesterday my youngest daughter talked me into playing Wizard 101 with her. We had played it when it fist launched back in 2008 I think? Took our wizards to max level (50) and then stopped. She said, she wanted a break from WoW and wanted me to play with her in wizard 101. The level cap is now 110 and ranked pvp is a big deal now. I probably see more adults in that game than I do kids at times..lol
That is what I'm playing now.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Not just L2 also Tera with sub was amazing me with the graphics and preformance now the lag makes it unplayable, also LOTR never had lag before f2p now I get slow loading of the zone everytime i move around. Long story short f2p brought lag to the games I use to enjoy without it.
In terms of going back, I'll define it as returning to a game some time after I felt I had reached a natural conclusion with it, i.e. I had seen most of what it had to offer, had reached cap without any interest in endgame or had just grown bored. In which case I've returned to the following: -
GW1 a few times over the years just to enjoy the gameworld.
GW2 a few times in the hope that it is not as mind-numbingly awful as my initial impressions- alas it always is.
DDO just to experience the fun dungeon design once more.
SWTOR in the hope that it will click with me in a way that it never quite has.
I went back to WOW in both TBC and WotLK but could never recapture the fun of vanilla.
and I am sure I have retried others for brief periods of time, probably many of them.
