The official spokesperson is Chris Roberts. And yes, sometimes he says the wrong things e.g. his "Hornet" (instead of Mustang) slip of tongue at "BarCitizen".
To err is human. Errors are being corrected by a dev comment within the next days on the official website.
Have fun
>> The official spokesperson is Chris Roberts.
So you are saying we can trust none of the weekly shows that get made unless it has Chris Roberts in them. None of that information is to be trusted because it might be wrong?
>> Errors are being corrected by a dev comment within the next days on the official website.
Those can't be trusted since it's not Chris Roberts, you just said that one sentence before. You are making no sense, sorry!
Good to know. Another reason for people to BEWARE of this Project.
I presented what the official Spokesperson and Head of Ship development said in a live stream yesterday:
My information is from TODAYS official website. ;-)
Until the information presented there changes, that is what is the official position.
Have fun
So you are saying the official spokesperson and head of ship development Ben Lesnik is wrong? If the official spokesperson is not to be trusted then there is even more reason for new buyers to be cautious!
Carry on Commandos
He could be wrong.
I for one wouldn't want to have any business with a company where a person is never wrong once he's reached high enough position.
Those can't be trusted since it's not Chris Roberts, you just said that one sentence before.
Incorrect.
I said that to err is human.
I said that the official spokesperson of CIG is Chris Roberts (Ben Lesnick is Community Manager).
I said nothing about not trusting devs because they are not Chris Roberts.
To err is human .... and this includes Chris Roberts and Ben Lesnick. Errors happen. Errors are being corrected. Corrections are announced on the official website (watch DevTracker).

So Ben Lesnik said there are no loaners and since there is no official statement from Chris Roberts on this and no correction on the DevTracker since yesterday we can assume Ben is correct because if not we have to assume everything these people say is incorrect.
I would guess that we can assume what these people say is correct, especially the Community Manager and head of ship development and if not the DevTracker would show a correction, right?
Thanks for explaining this to everyone i am sure new backers appreciate this information.
I said to watch the Dev-Tracker on the official website. Corrections are announced there. And a lot of other information useful for backers too.
Have fun
Yes, so since there is no correction on the DevTracker current information as per Community Manager Ben Lesnik is that there are no loaners!
This is what i said from the start and my OP stands. BUYERS BEWARE!

Ben Lesnick, Developer: We don't, uh, specifically do hangar LOANERS any more I mean we... we haven't even done the MATRIX for the... for 2.4 so... ahm, not a worry there... ahhm... yeah... just something that'll...
Yeah it's just that 2.4 is still on the PTU so we don't have the... LOADOUT LOADOUT... LOWER LOAN... LOADOUT MATRIX so uh we'll...
I found an error in my spreadsheet and you are correct.
The AVERAGE amount per month is LOWER (in the period June 2015 to May 2016 compared to the average amount per month in the period June 2014 to May 2015)
Prophetic words in a recent post : To err is human :-)
In the meantime would you kindly delete your incorrect information on page 1 saying there are loaners? Thank you.
There ARE loaner ships as any backer that got a non-yet-flight-ready-ship or concept ship before can tell you ;-)
The link you provided with the interview: Ben stated that the loaner matrix is not in effect in the PTU server. Which is a much smaller server for a focus test group. He is NOT speaking about the live server. He is NOT claiming that there is no loaner matrix anymore or that there are no loaner ships for concept sale ship owners anymore.

"We don't, uh, specifically do hangar LOANERS any more I mean we... we haven't even done the MATRIX for the... for 2.4"
This clearly says no loaner ships any more and not even the matrix for 2.4. So when this patch goes live then there will be no loaners or matrix any more.
I don't see how this can be interpreted in any other way. Of cause you are entitled to your own opinion.
There is a possibility but no guarantee that you receive a loaner ship until your desired ship is hangar+ ready
CIG Announced that all ship hulls after September 2015 will not make it in the game pre launch
there is no launch date you can expect it at least 1+ years after the release of the single player game S42
Most of the flight ready ships are not game ready and are missing a lot of proposed functionalities/game mechanics
If you buy a concept art you have to be prepared that CIG is not only tweaking some values, CIG will and has already changed and cut different features from ships including base role, seats, unique features (like changing of combat/travel mode) [and they are still puzzled with the BMM which side is the front]
Ships are getting more expensive through the stages - Concept > Hangar > Flight Ready (rule of thumb 30% each stage)
Life Time Insurance is only avaiable in concept stage

Total in January - May 2015: 14 881 464$ Total January - May 2016: 10 391 221$
Change: -30%
Or in case your "Currently" means last month
Total in May 2015: 2 815 387$ Total in May 2016: 1 432 159$
Change: -49%
Wow, I didn't realise it was that bad, they must be worried about that, especially if SQ42 is not released this year as promised on their SQ42 trailer. More time means they need more money.
That is a bit of a drop over a month. Didn't they say they need about 2 million a month.
Chris Roberts said that if they are not bringing in 2-3 M$ a month the project plan will be adjusted so that the remaining money is enough to finish the development of the game.
If they have enough untouched money on the bank nothing will change.
If they burned through a lot of money already, operating cost (mainly coming from team size i guess) could be reduced.
As no one knows how much money they still have, any guess is just that - a personal guess.
I'm not sure why anyone, at this point, would opt to take anything more than a wait and see stance with their wallets kept firmly inside their pockets.
Are these pledges they're getting every month mostly new consumers, or are they continued pledges from existing backers?
If it's existing backers, might they feel compelled to continue throwing money at CIG because they fear the game won't make release or will suffer a lot of trimming to make release if CIG doesn't continue to receive pledge funds monthly? That would be a very dangerous situation for CR and company to be in, so I hope not (for everyone involved's sake).
I see a big list of ships they've sold, are there no ships at all completely finished as yet?
About 40% ifyou count variants which are mostly cosmetic changes or on paper changes.
In the picture of the OP you can see finished ships in BLUE the rest are not done and even the BLUE ones are not completely finished according to their specifications and the descriptions on the website.

Which is a slap in the face, because the last stretch goal was at 65kk$

Getting the most epic space sim in decades is FAR from a slap in the face.
Besides they have lots of other revenue sources, like episode expansions for SQ42 and other stuff. We will see all the stretch goals eventually, but even what we have now is way more than any other game of its type.
