If you've played GA/Smite you can see the similarities that was put into Paladins. Overwatch isn't exactly a unique game, fanboy or not.
I played GA and unless my memory is fuzzy it was in a completely different genre.
both arena shooters, just Global did it 10v10 with bigger maps and better balance. plus jet packs added something different. and it didnt look like a damn cartoon.
Paladins is great but I haven't played overwatch and I won't until they add a free trial. I just don't trust blizzard with money upfront. Every one of their games I have tried in the last decade was casualized as hell and obviously appealed to children and not to adults.
As revealed by several replies to this thread, at least three of the votes for Paladins here are from people who never ever played Overwatch. I wonder how many more people voted for Paladins without ever playing Overwatch that are in this thread. Would have thought the poll was obvious enough that one was comparing the two rather than just "I'll vote for Paladins because I never played Overwatch!" but apparently not. I suppose it should probably have added a third option for that, then, though I don't blame the poll creator for assuming people would sensibly realize they shouldn't vote if they only played one or the other and not both.
I find it hilarious that many people think that because someone likes Paladins then they are a blizzard hater. Or if someone tries to say that they think OW is a 7-8/10 then they get all up in airs and start frothing at the mouth about how people are hating blizzard. Do people act like this on every video game or just the ones made by Blizzard? I mean you are attacking people because they aren't claiming OW is the greatest thing ever created. Do half of you even realize that is what you are doing? I thought haters would be the ones who call games crap not call them average or above average. Well Paladins has Aimbots already, and its fun but the cheaters make me have to play over-watch because blizzard actually bans the cheaters, as where paladins is sign up for free to cheat.
This is a good point. I actually enjoy both games, but I have Paladins on PC and OW on my PS4. Probably wind up playing more OW because of the comfort of playing in the recliner.
Seems like console is less likely to have cheaters as well.
My guess is that your rank is low. High ranked PS4 players actually use keyboard/mouse and totally wreck the joystick folks. Plenty of reddit complaining on the matter

Imo they should take away the mic action all together because for some reason players in overwatch think if you talk on the mic you must be the leader of the group....just shut up and play.
