Final Fantasy XV News - Conan O'Brien has posted his latest Clueless Gamer segment in which he plays Final Fantasy XV alongside Elijah Wood. During several spots in the play through, O'Brien became frustrated enough to burst out with "I don't know what we were trying to achieve. I have no sense of satisfaction!" While obviously part of O'Brien's 'schtick', one has to wonder if others will feel similarly when they play it later this month.

I don't play the game and probably just as confused as him. Cars in Final Fantasy? I thought this was a medieval fantasy albeit Asian version. So you walk in to a 7-Eleven? Confused.

Are you even watched Clueless Gamer ever before?

Final fantasy has never really been medieval fantasy, maybe the early games were close to that but its normally high fantasy and sci fantasy generally leaning towards the latter most of the time.
If you look through previous games you will see Mechs, spaceships, guns and motorbikes so this isn't really new to final fantasy, though what this final fantasy seems to be doing is making the world more like our world but with magic and monsters.

The whole idea of Final Fantasy is you get a new world and new experiences in each game. It feels like this game they are trying to gear it more toward women to me, just like they said men looking at a wedding dress. Nothing wrong with trying to pull in new players to the genre but as someone who owns every Final Fantasy ever made, even the imports that were never released in the states, this is the first one I may pass on. Will have to look into it more, but as of right now just doesn't seem like a real Final Fantasy game feels like something else.

One of the things I can't seem to get over is all of the characters wearing the same black clothes. It's boring, i've always liked diversity of characters appearance in previous FFs.

The car pushing was the worst part of my two hour demo at E3. It felt unnecessary, and could have been part of the cinematic. BUT it's over in like a minute or two.

Never been a fan of any of their games, but I have friends who really like them.  I have tried playing them, but just cannot get into them.

I don't usually watch clueless gamer but this was hilarious.

The scene where the tough heroes dressed in black... discuss and want to go and check out the dress of the princess...

The Japanese are simply taking it too far with their androgyn style protagonists.

It's a good game from the two hours I played, great maybe even, but it definitely has a LOT of filler. Like the dress part. It makes sense, since the bride to be is Noctis', but it's also just so out of place.

Was there at least a GF making them do it? That I could understand :)

    Which brings up another question:
Why is the new FF crew such a sausage party?

There is a Japanese demo out on PSN and with some basic skills and search skills you can play the first part of the game and its great. About the cloths you can change outfits on the charecters so you dont have to ware the all black leather thing all the time.

IIRC, according to developer interviews, they wanted to explore the relations between an all-male traveling party.  Basically "Total bros, the game."

A stupid idea from a business standpoint in my opinion when the game protagonist market is already still male-saturated.

Maybe you have to fight the dress later on :)

It could be a cultural thing, such as seeing the bride before the wedding. I haven't as of yet looked at the video so I'm not very clear on the context.

Though what guy wouldn't want to see how beautiful his future wife was going to be in her wedding dress?

But yeah take the time and watch the clip.

Final Fantasy has become a spectacle RPG. Very pretty. Very shallow.

Game sucks.  I wish SE would figure out what they want FF to be these days.  This thing is a steaming pile of brotrip garbage with no reason to ever touch it again  once you've played through.  Who wants 100% on rails FF titles?  Nobody is asking for this garbage.

Is it really 3 days to kill that one boss?  I do love me some Conan though.
