Star Wars Galaxies- All iterations, loved NGE iteration more due to all the content they added which made it a sandpark MMORPG, a crafting system that to this day hasn't been topped, space combat- real space sim combat, cities and player homes and shops that weren't instanced. Open world PVP, at least I can still play SWG via other means today but would rather have the game as it was when it closed in 2011

Voted for Everquest, played that one the longest.
Dark Age of Camelot would be a close second though.

    Redsalt... the other salt.

I voted Dark Age of Camelot but Asheron's Call is right there with it.

Same for me. Everquest seemed to be the more popular at the time and I watched a friend play it but it just didn't grab me. Then I got in on a trial or beta for Asheron's Call and I was hooked. Lots of good memories playing AC with friends and meeting new ones. It may not be my favorite but like you, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Actually at the time my first choice would have been EQ but it didn't support my 3D graphics card (not sure if I'm remembering this right but I think EQ was glide and VodooFX 3D only) and AC did. No regrets - I ended up loving AC.

Everquest ~ Nothing will ever compare to the comradery, the late nights/early morning grinding with friends. The community in Everquest back when I played was hands down the best I have ever been a part of to this day.  This was before trolling was a thing. I wish I could re capture that feeling I got from that game.

First was EQ, started christmas of 99 and it was amazing, but my favorite would have to be Anarchy Online

Anarchy Online, still my favorite all time MMO. Sad to see it lost to history and funcom forgetting about it. But I also very much enjoyed SWG and the pre-cu/nge Jedi system.

WOW is the first and only mmo.
Are you onto something or just on something?

    DAoC, followed by Shadowbane.

This is a tough one.. I loved CoH and I probably played that longer than I played SWG just because CoH was more consistent in its gameplay and they kept changing SWG.

I didn't see it, and people will argue whether it is or isn't,  but Phantasy Star Online - the original one - I loved that game too.  Certainly one of my favorites.

AO my first MMO. The first cut is the deepest...
followed by SWG, which was the perfect MMORPG but flawed.

The race is between Meridian 59 and Lineage, and I am leaning to the latter. Lineage had it's bad parts but it had excellent PvP and were very different from anything I played before or after. It also had the best death penalty I seen, made us fear dying but not ragequtting because of it.

Tough call between SWG and Runescape, but I had to pick Star Wars Galaxies because of the amount of friends I made on their and still play with on other games (mainly WoW now)

Runescape was my first true MMO game and I also made friends on that and loved the PKing but SWG was the game that made me fall in love with MMO's

I missed out on ffxi, that could very well have been a contender over EQ for me.
