. I would hate for your new motherboard to come in, and then for whatever reason, you have trouble reactivating Windows (because, motherboard swap) and then you get through the 3 hour phone call to fix that, and then your computer goes tits up yet again.

Whenever I do a major upgrade and Windows does ask me to activate again, I have to call a number in worst case scenario, I get like 50 digits, I type those in my registration window and the work is done. All under 5 minutes.
Granted I do not live in the US currently.
So are you living in some canyon with a satellite that passes by 1/24hrs or so?
Well, if it's just a reinstall, then it usually is the automated system that takes about 10 minutes.
But when it's a motherboard replacement, that is a different story, and I got kicked to the outsourced call center, they have to bounce it up to some Level 3 tech to verify the condition, and then they had to Windows Remote Assist into the computer to reset something or another.
Just wanted to give an update. Got the new motherboard two days ago and the computer is running flawlessly. That gtx 1050 combined with the X4 845 is a good combo. Getting 60 fps easily on star wars battlefront ultra settings.
Asrock is really getting better and better with each new chipset release. I'm eying a x370 professional or something similar for a new cpu+mobo+ram upgrade.
And it's looking like it's going to have the best vrm setup for overclocking up to $350,$400 even and all the bells and whistles as with asus/msi/gigabyte (i wish all of them would completely stop placing any m.2 slots near main gpu though, ...)
