Nioh, Last of us 2, Crash bandicoot, Kingdom Hearts, Death stranding, Dawn, God of War, Gravity rush 2, Hellblade, Ni no Kuni 2, Uncharted, Papa rapper.
For me those were more than enough for me to get one last Christmas. That list is only ones i'm interested in, the list goes on if.
Was massive xbox fan, never had a playstation before this year, never into the hype, but xbox just don't have anything of interest going for it right now. They had scaelbound, then canceled it.
My mate dropped me this list and it made my heart sink and made the switch. first is xbox games, other is Ps4. it says which ones are all platforms, exclusive or PC + x console
Forza and Gears are better then that whole list IMO. Not including SOT, Crackdown, Ashen, Phantom Dust, Dead Rising , Halo Wars, State of Decay, and on and on.
The day they make a console NOT feel like a poor mans lounge lizard PC then I will look into it, but sadly after spending time playing on others consoles I see no game that makes me want to not wish it was on a PC instead, and that goes for all them, making any title exclusive just reeks of lead loss selling, they don't make a lot on the consoles but hammer you on "exclusives" and gear.
Did look at the Sony for the 4k-ness but then just went out and bought a new graphics card instead, because I could.
Review: Horizon Zero Dawn suffers from style over substance
As great as it may be, it's not enough to encourage me to buy a PS4. In this day and age, platform "exclusive" titles are silly, particularly with the availability of controllers for PC. I'll wait for a Steam port however many years, if ever, it happens.
While I can definitely agree if it's only 1 game you are interested in, for me there is a tipping point where once a platform has enough exclusives it becomes worth it... with the likes of Bloodborne, The Last of Us (if you missed it on PS3), Uncharted 4 (1/2/3 if you missed them as well), Nioh, and now Horizon, PS4 has reached that point (well, technically it reached that point for me with Bloodborn, but only because I love the Souls games and Sony has traditionally
been strong on exclusives).
And, yes, in a perfect world there would be no exclusives and I could play everything on a well built PC, but this world has never been perfect.

I do not agree.
Sony has never put their games on PC. This is going all the way back to the very first Playstation. People should already know this.
PS4 right now is out selling PS2 which was the best selling console of all time.
The reason is because they keep their games on their platform. :-)
Well, guess I'll just put that 4-500 bucks in my pocket for a PC upgrade or a flight to some exotic location and a few margaritas. :P
And...am I wrong in thinking that there are more than a few Sonic games are on Steam?
Surprised to read that from a gamer. I am personally gaming agnostic. I could care less what system has what game. I buy them all. A PS4 will run you only $250, it really is cheap. $400 to $500 will get you a One and a PS4. The PS4 started slow (game wise) but the games have really picked up. Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us are masterpieces of game design and it is a shame fans of video games will not play them simple because of the platform they are on.
I just don't care for controllers and console gaming much, though I use a controller from time to time on my PC. I've had consoles, my daughter has 2 but, eh. I'm PC all the way. Additionally, it's not that I can't afford a PS4 or XB1 or whatever. I simply choose to spend my money on things that I like better.
That honestly shouldn't be surprising at all to anyone.
People who love games come in all stripes -- Some console only. Some PC only. Some who like a bit of both. I'd even add in that I love table top games, putting puzzles together, crosswords, word finds and more active games like softball and soccer as well as watching virtual games. Does not caring for consoles somehow make me less of a gamer? I don't think so.
I have bought consoles in the past for just a single exclusive game. In my opinion, Bravely Default was totally worth buying a 3DS, even if the second hadn't come out and I played nothing else on that machine. I've bought many generations of Nintendo for nothing other than Zelda and Mario Kart.
PS4 I've really enjoyed - most time I've spent on a console since PS2. I got one around the Holidays last year, started out with Destiny, had a blast with Battleborn. Picked up a few cross-platform titles used (DA3, Witcher3) and played them a good deal more on the console than I did the PC. TO each their own though, I do spent a lot more time on my PC than my PS4, but I don't consider the PS4 a waste of money at all.
Yeah, I like playing games on my PC too, and yeah, you can play PC on a TV (Steam Link is awesome). But there's something to be said about just chilling out on the couch with a beer in hand, and not having to worry about keyboard/mouse to get things going. Steam Link is very close to that, but not quite console-level yet.
Horizon looks intriguing, I don't do many Day 1 purchases, so I will wait a bit on this one as well and see if I can catch it on sale.

AMEN Miss Ford AMEN!!!!! Platform "exclusives" sucks and I guess Sony don't want to make money

^^ YASSSS GAWD ^^ Once again Miss Ford you hit the nail on the head....
Sony and Microsoft's consoles are PC's they are both x86-64. Xone runs a cut down version of windows and uses directx 12 and something called game mode which is coming to windows 10 where game mode makes the game your playing high priority and puts the OS into sleep mode basically.. Scorpio is rumoured to be using AMD's Polaris. Consoles make more money than PC games, Skyrim sales where 85% console. Sad thing is that there are great games coming out for console only. All this PC master race is a load of tosh, the face of gaming will change and is changing.
"Exclusives" sell platforms. I wouldn't mind Playstation exclusives to be ported to PC, I would still play them on Playstation because i prefer physical discs any day over cheaper digital prices.
With that said, if PC gamers want Sony to share their exclusives then PC developers/publishers should also start sharing PC exclusives with consoles as well. I would play WoW, Black Desert and GW2 on a console any day of the year.
I love it when some PC fanatics complain that console exclusives should be on PC, but when other people say they want a PC game on console they are the first ones to say it should never happen. To them i say, Suck it up, it's either both ways or none at all.
Also, PC games usually have less people than their console counterpart in the same game so they make less money on PC unless its a F2P microtransaction dispenser.

A PC can do anything a console does, a console can't do everything a PC does. Supposedly BDO is being developed for console, I don't see how it'll work out well though. WoW on a console isn't feasible, it would be an absolute nightmare to play with a controller.
Out of curoisty how come? If BDO is heading to console and both FF Mmos have worked on consoles fine, what would stop Wow being on console? I would think due to it being tab target it would be pretty easy with a controller and on top of the ability pruning, you wouldn't have shit ton of abilities to bind?

Controllers predate mouse in gaming. Avoiding them means you have lost a huge part of the gaming world. Same thing applies to your "PC only" rule--missing more stuff. It doesn't make you less of a gamer. I've known people whom played 1 game only and they became quite famous as a professional gamer.
But... when you say you prefer to have Margaritas instead of a PS4, not only it doesn't sound gamer-y at all but also a tad condescending. Maybe it wasn't your intention, but that's how you sounded like.
Also you gotta tell me what exotic place I can get with $250, it seems my travel agents have been ripping me off all these years! O.o

In a backwards kind of way you're sort of supporting Suzie's initial post in this thread where she said platform exclusive titles are silly. If it's so easy to get around it with small amounts of cash to buy all the platforms, just who the hell are they excluding other than the severely cash-strapped gamers?
Maybe some console fanboys get off on having exclusives for their one and only precious but it IS an outdated silly system.

Nope, WoW is a solid 85. You re upset that I have a GOOD MMO to play or something.
I own both an xbox one s and a ps4 pro.

You know me so well, as I said , if you know the right people you can. You can keep believing I haven t played it.
Sad when you need exclusives to drive your sales.
And that goes for all the machines.

That sums up for me what I find about most console games, except most lack style aswell.

Lol, you re so uptight.
Only thing I can tell you is , it s average, what else did you want, no glaring features that hasn t been mentioned.
And, yes, in a perfect world there would be no exclusives and I could play everything on a well built PC, but this world has never been perfect.
