I don't like it for various reasons, but i wish it all the best. There is definitely an interest in games like this, but many times a title catering to these players hits the market, i see the studio behind it messing it up somehow.
I expect Albion to be a very small niche game for a tiny bunch of dedicated hardcore players -which isn't necessary a bad thing.
The bad thing about it is that it didn't have to be like this, if it
wasn't for questionable design decisions that will haunt it and likely be it's
downfall.
Finally! I bought the Ultra Supreme Deluxe Founders pack (whatever it's called) back in Summer 2015 and played for a bit but I didn't want to invest a lot of time while the product was in the rough-draft stage of development.
Awesome! You should join our guild at launch. I'm Blueturtle in game. Quite a few from this site are in it.

From F2P to B2P w/ sub (if you wan't to stay competitive) + cash shop.
I was interested in way back when, before they introduced all the cash things. I'd even been interested if they had ONE or the other, but having ALL the cash grabs, no thanks.
I'm waiting for when it comes back to earth and goes to f2p....Its just a matter of time

Are you poor? I remember a time where we had to pay $50 for NES games. Gtfo
Just waiting for the final wipe. I liked the game. . easy to learn. . not much point in playing more than one character etc. Ill look up the guild when that wipe comes. I love me some PvP and crafting.

No...I just got smart eventually and stopped dropping $50 every time someone said "hey look a new game"
My wife and I (carebears both) enjoyed this game quite a bit and may be there at launch. But let me warn all of you PvE players who are being told that you don't have to PvP if you don't want to. Literally, this is true. But this game is utterly dependent on resources and crafting and, if you're not willing to enter the PvP zones, you'll never get hold of the higher tier resources needed not just to make higher tier items, but required to advance.
We played and had a great time up until we realized that we couldn't get T6 or higher resources without hitting the PvP zones. So we started gathering there and were instantly and immediately wiped out by gangs of gankers. Think EvE Online jump gates bordering null sec. Not being able to advance, we lost interest and left.
It's too bad, because the game mechanics are very compelling and fun, and we would have loved staying had we been able to continue without the need to enter PvP zones.
Another warning: if you don't like grinding, beware: this game is the GRANDADDY of grinds. Just wait till you see the Destiny tree and what it takes to advance in the tree. Think "kill 80,000 mobs" or "craft 80,000 foozles" to get to the next incremental step. And then of course the steps get larger as you go. The grind was brutal, but fortunately the gameplay was varied enough so that we could spread out the grinding between grinding crafting levels, grinding combat levels, and grinding gear levels. But you have never known the meaning of "grinding" until you play Albion Online.
On the upside, crop farming is fun and there are many trees to advance in Farming. ArcheAge did it a little better IMO, but there's a lot to like about Albion's farming model.

I love the rvr and open-world pvp premise. Yet, I don't think I could stomach going so far backwards in terms of combat, ui, camera, and graphics. Out of the 6 rvr guilds I know, 0 have an interest in this for these reasons, we've seen what can be done now and it's just hard to imagine settling for less anymore.
Still wish em the best of luck.

You mean DMKano was wrong about something? Must have been his confidential sources error.
But then there is this thing called preference. Some people don't like pizza....

Can you please tell the rest of us what this poor excuse for a MMO means in more detail?
