Horizon: Zero Dawn - Five Things You Should Know - The List at MMORPG.com

Horizon Zero Dawn released earlier this week and it’s so good that I don’t even care that we get a new Zelda in the same week. Well, almost, I mean it’s Zelda. But in the end I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it’s these two games knocking at each other for Game of the Year Honors come December. That said here are 5 things you should know about HZD. Some of them you may know already. Others I didn’t know until I was a few hours in.

I am loving this game and having a hard time pulling away from it. Love the Story and the game play for sure. Yes "its not all about robot dinosaurs" but I'll be darned if that's not the most combat fun I have had in a game in a long time I really hope they release extra content and maybe some side storylines for this game..

I'm playing on a Pro as well on 1080p and enhanced mode as well (and you do see the difference between 'normal' Slim mode and 'enhanced' Pro mode), and I know how they managed to squeeze the max out(?) of the game - did you not hear the fans go nuts at times? The Pro is REALLY in need of some serious fan cooling at times  
I also noticed the near perfect faces and hair - it's simply stunning so well done they are. Also how the models (Aloy mostly ) are animated and the grass waves through the wind and when you walk / crouch trough it - SIMPLY STUNNING!

So far I'm a bit over 8 hours in the game and still gotta leave the valley. Getting there (ready for it actually), but making sure I'm well stocked up for the journey ahead.

About the main plot... I have some guesses already and won't drop them here. It wouldn't be the first time that my guesses about a plot are correct and I spoil it for others (my wife hates to watch tv with me because I see the plot so quickly...)

One of the most incredible games I played in my whole life and I played a lotta lottaaaaaaaa games ! If you are out there, YEAH YOU!! still thinking about wether to buy it or not...BUY IT ASAP - awesome! can´t wait to get home from work to continue playing XD

The PRO does sound like it has a jet engine in it at times.

I'm playing it on the Pro with 4K HDR TV and it's amazing, not had a game pull me in like this for a long time.

Zelda lives up to the hype and beyond. Horizon:Zero Dawn lives up to the hype and beyond.

I'm getting this game but I dont like the main characters appearance and maybe personality from the videos I have seen so far.

I have only been able to play for about 5 hours but its been great. I don't know if it will get super repetitive later on but so far the combat is great, the story is great and the rpg stuff is pretty good like lvling your character. It has made me consider missing the launch of the switch tonight and just going and getting it tom.

Horizon Zero Dawn is the best looking game ever made imo. It looks better than anything on console or pc and I have been saying it for awhile now.

Only reason I do not have the game yet is because I am working on getting my 4K TV and I want to have that first before I play the game.

Game looks good but its repetitive and to much cutscenes. And if it is no cutscene you walk next to a npc for 10mins. Its crazy how much time you spend in this game doing nothing. They say its a mix from skyrim and some others.... hell no.... it rly looks good but it gets boring sooooooo fast......shame

I'm sure you know the answer. Sony owns Guerrilla Games, the developers of this game and have always owned them.

Also, Sony is clearly seeing how Microsoft is killing XBO by releasing all their exclusives on PC. Sony is playing it smarter by focusing on hammering its user base with several PS4 exclusive games, increasing sales even more.

First game in a long time that's lived up to it's hype, what we saw is what we got. Great story, interesting and engaging combat, amazing music, stunning graphics. Guerrilla games, I hope, set a standard that devs will and should  follow.

Loving the game on pro, poor PC elites really don't get it. If you love gaming then why just own one format and then cry when a great game comes out on another format. This day and age you are doing yourself an injustice by not owning at least one console.

Played for like 6-7 hours and I love this game. Enjoyable main char, fun gameplay and interesting story. Think I got maybe 15% of the map uncovered so still got lots to do. A Great buy. If I had to choose between this and uncharted 4, I might very well had gone for this game. Its that good
