GTA wasnt changed to A rating because of the sex.
It was an accumulation of things (although I think I mentioned this)
1. Rockstar lied to the ESRB panel. When a game is in it's final development of production they are required to send all transcripts, art, and disc to the ESRB panel. If not, it is considered Not rated and will loose money as many companies to not carry non rated games. The sex addin wasnt the thing that changed the rating. It was an accumulation of ALL the conent in GTA:SA
2. Rockstar lied to a congressional inquiry head up by Hillary Clinton 2 weeks ago. 3 days ago Senaotr Clinton stated that she believed Rockstar was lying. Rockstar stated the sex scene was added by modders. Two days ago, Rockstar admitted placing the conent in the game. Rockstar lied to a congressional inquiry.
3. It was the accumlation of all the things in the game that produced the A rating
4. It was the deception of the company that is forcing them to recall ALL GTA:SA (even if you owned it for 7 months and it's all beat to hell).
It has nothing to do with religion, it has nothing to do with fundementalist religious people, it has nothing to do Christians, it has nothing to do with Hara Christna. It has everything to do with the fact that Rockstar was deceptive in it's information.
There is nothing wrong with sex. There is something wrong with lying. You dont even need to be religious to know it is bad to lie to the international game rating panel and to Congress.

The game was originally rated M for Mature. When it was discovered that it contained sexual content, the rating was raised to A for Adults Only. End of story.
If you seriously believe that the rating was raised to teach Rockstar a lesson for lying then you are entitled to your opinion, but you are incorrect. Ratings are for rating the content of games, not punishing software companies.

What I am saying is the accumulation of the preexisting things that existed with the game plus the sex scene gave it the A rating. It's like a cake....its not a cake if you have all the ingrediants but no flour.
Think of the sex scene the flour added to the A rating chocolate cake

lol thats not what i said....reread it. They are being punished by having to accept countless of thousands of games back to their vendor because they lied....a recall if you will plus several large sums of monetary fines.
The game became A rated because of the accumlation of all the violence, drug use, gang issues, and sex. Please reread the thread I wrote that you quoted from

I completely agree.
If the uzis, blood, drugs, guns, murder and car wrecks weren't enough to warrant the game getting an Adults Only rating, then it didn't deserve an Adults Only rating for having hidden sex scenes.
Anyone who disagrees is basically saying that the depiction of someone being shot in the face is more acceptable than the depiction of someone in the act of intercourse.

While I think the whole thing is pretty sad, (Though quite funny.) just my two cents.
I liked GTA3 and Vice City, they're fun to play, haven't tried the newer ones. The games are fun, but I disagree in general with the idea of the game. It's morally wrong. I think people were just looking for an excuse to get the game banned, since the game's already been discussed so much about the violence, and they hopped on this excuse right away.
One other thing, I think America is pretty lame when it comes to sex. We make movies that have severe gore, drugs, swearing, insane amounts of explosions and violence, but anything related to nudity or sex it's like "OMG YOU FREAK." as if we dont' all think about it quite often.
I apologize to those who's views conflict with my own. It's just my opinion.
Well they shouldnt make it a big deal cuz GTA should have been a simulation of life and well maybe a bit extravated but they did a good job until now, they simply misplaced a label wich didnt have the good rating.

Oh well, my copy is a European one, and it sais 18+ on the box... (I'm 17). I don't even know WHAT to think about all this, only that GTA:SA still is a great game.
besides, who wants to sit around and look at some pixels, supposed to be someone without clothes. I'd prefer the real thing any time.
