At some point won't all these money making cause fatigue. As a fan at some point you have to admit it is getting tiring.
What i would consider tiring as a fan is when a crowdfunding project gets cancelled because the money runs out.
The community is great, the guys i play Star Citizen with are great ... why should there be fatigue when you are having fun with your friends ?
I have some 220 other games to play on Steam and GoG . I can "survive" waiting for the launch of Squadron 42 and Star Citizen, playing other games besides the SC Alpha.
I am a person that is never bored. I always have 20 possible things to do. You could stick me alone in a wilderness without connection to civilization and i would not be bored. I could do repetitive things for hours on end and would not be bored, as part of me would embrace the Zen aspect of that task (a la "Zen and the Art of motorcycle repair"). Been there, done that. 12 hours of hard manual labor are tiring and can cause fatigue. But not THIS ;-)

I don't know if it's because of the monetization scheme or just because it's taking so long but my interest level is definitely a fraction of what it was when I got my Golden Ticket.
At this point all I really want is SQ42.

All games grow old and die over time eventually (although WoW's lifespan is bizarrely long. It's still dying a little each day though), with the clock starting to tick around the time people either begin playing it or people begin paying for it. Star Citizen gets the joy of that experience while it's still in the womb.

That's when CIG offers them purple kool-aid laced with cyanide and tells them it's the only way to escape the haters + see the final polished version of the game that will run ultra settings 4k on their current rigs.
