Funny how this new accounts are showing up saying MMOBomb is doing fake news.... And then in the background they remove their IndieGoGo page... Are they trying to clean their mess?

Just because the indiegogo page disappeared doesn't mean the article re: the "fake news" was correct. First, the campaign was never going to work. They never did their legwork. However, that doesn't mean it's illegitimate. It's completely possible that they believed they could get the assets. However, it's difficult to convince people to give you money in hopes that you might be able to acquire something if you haven't actually got the ok from the person selling it. Gazillion might not even own the assets!!

Secondly, you make the assumption that it was the Campaign owner who shut down the page. Maybe it was Indiegogo. That would be the responsible thing to do. You aren't even allowed to run this type of campaign at Kickstarter, so it wouldn't surprise me if it would also not be allowed through Indiegogo.

Third, it's quite possible this new account is the guy who posted the campaign. So what? I'd much rather have someone here answering questions than forum posters speculating.

The creditors own all of the assets and I think they are all fighting over how much they own.  And so I'm not sure it's even possible to determine how much the assets will sell for, if at all.

You aren't getting money for many reasons.  Why did you choose the flexible option which means that you keep any money donated even if it's far below what would be required to actually accomplish anything?

You've asked for massive funding of an infeasible plan and there's nobody attached that lends legitimacy to your project.

What metrics do you have to estimate the income of the game after it's stripped of it's marvel ties?  What do you estimate the  for costs and time required to replace all marvel references/assets from the game?  Why would people want to play the game without marvel?  It was barely populated on PC as it was.

$450k sounds tiny even just to replace all of the Marvel related art, skills and story.  Salaries alone add up very quickly.

I see nothing resembling a sound business plan and taking peoples money regardless of whether or not you meet your goals is a huge red flag.

I say take your project down, refund initial backers and get your house in order.
Well, I think the main reason is, it's not a good idea for a "project"

It's all supposition, do they even have a link to Disney or Gazillion?

And even if they did have a link to Gaz, what makes them think anyone would want to play the game if the marvel license (which they WILL NOT get) wasn't obtainable.

It's just a bad project, and a silly idea.

Whether or not the information is correct or incorrect, the campaign itself spelled out pretty plainly why you shouldn't back the project and it has nothing to do with what MMOBomb or any other site posted whether it be true or false.

It's a bad project, thought out in theory but with no tether to the realization of development.
The dude didn't even bother to elaborate on his plans, he just questions minor details that aren't the cause of the projects utter failure.
From the looks of it the project failed due to poor planning and poor understanding of the requirements to buy the IP in the first place. I'm not sure why people are still up in arms about this, it was a mess from the beginning and now it's over apparently.
