The advantage is more for quality of life than anything else. Also, it is a free game, so other than cosmetics, how else are they supposed to survive.
The most popular purchase in game is the inventory tabs and i am 100% fine with it.
They have to survive, plus, there really is no pvp in the game, so there is really no tangible benefit. PoE has one of the best monetization schemes in gaming.

For that genre of game, inventory space is a pretty hefty advantage that goes beyond quality of life. The more you can keep on hand, the more likely you will have what you need when the call for it arises. In the case of PoE, this is amplified by the barter-like nature of exchange and the plethora of skill gems one want to retain. I would expect inventory purchases to be the most popular, due to the tangible in game benefits they provide.
That there is no PvP is somewhat countered by the presence of competitive PvE, which is something PoE has in abundance. So, a tangible benefit remains.
Regardless, I'm not criticizing the marketing model used by PoE, simply pointing out that they sell inventory space which leads to in game advantage to those that purchase it.
Rather, I feel they have one of the best, if not the best, marketing models around.
The cost for the space seems to be quite reasonable, and the value of it won't decline over time. Once a person is comfortable with the space he has, the rest available for purchase are simply cosmetics. Combined with the ability to play the game for free as long as you wish so you can be confident of the value you will get for whatever you purchase, it is a decent system.
I can't speak for BDO, but most games that focus on PvP tend to be P2W. Despite the fact that players cannot fully agree on which games are truly P2W. We can all agree that a P2W game will require you to use the cash shop, or it will take away from your experience in the game. You do see this happen, like I said, in games that focus on PvP. Why? Because PvP players want to be the best like no one ever was, due to their competitive nature. Many gaming companies take advantage of this.
"I have found a desire within myself that no experience in this world can satisfy; the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." ~ C. S. Lewis
Will we ever see a business who doesn't care about making money?
If you ran a store that had 2 options:
1. Each customer is limited to spending X amount every month, and if they don't pay every month - they can't enter your store 2. People can buy and spend as much or as little as they want in your store, and can come and go as they please
Which choice would you pick if you wanted to run a profitable business?
Wrong. They want a third option.
3. A store where you come in, take what you want, and spend no money! That is the only option being considered here.
Pardon any spelling errors
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven Boy: Why can't I talk to Him? Mom: We don't talk to Priests. As if it could exist, without being payed for. F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that. It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
The OP had a technical error in punctuation. What they really meant to write was, "zero P2W, B2P, or P2P?" What they are talking about is how every Play 4 Free (P4F) gamer feels gaming is meant to be, absolute no cost what so ever.
So the question we are all considering here is, will there ever be a game like XXXX (any game name here) that has no cost to the gamer?
Absolutely.. as soon as we figure out how to build and maintain that game for free.
And it ain't going to happen. The real joke here is the OP and their like don't realize this.

you dont build game for free .. Buy2Play with monthly subscription and Cosmetic CashShop - nothing PW2
The trend with korean or chinese mmorpg is the cash shop get worse over time. Weather BDO is pay to win or not is debatable, but one thing for certain is the cash shop will get worse.
Here's the bottom line..... BDO is a fun playground game and I'm not saying that in a bad way, I'm sure it could be fun for what it is.
A game like this should be $59.95 Buy-To-Play..... Problem is many wouldn't pay that much for a game like this. Most come in thinking they could be unique and play for free after $10.

Their, I covered it all
I think video game developers should pay me to play their games and give me a porche because I feel I am a special snowflake that should get their way. I dont see game developers giving me what I want just because I act like a special snowflake.
Its time for gamers to spend the money or STFU. The F2P model is proving to be detrimental to video games of all kinds.
