nah, Asian games tend to have some really silly things because, erm "reasons". Most of them are like that.

What about Tera where they have a "toy ambulance mount" compared with something similar in The Secret World?

I don't think Neowitz understands the Western Market. Saying "Still Stay True to Fantasy Worlds" is the most stupid thing to say, especially when the cash shop is filled with the most immersion breaking stuff one could find. This game is on par with Tera with the stupid stuff.

But many Koreans want that kind of stuff, they don't care for believable, living and breathing worlds or immersion. TERA, Aion, B&S etc. are the best example.

I dont know, someone must be buying all these outfits in these asian based games, especially when it comes to the little girl models for some reason. Heck, even blade and soul goes as far as to make lyn female outfits with one not have boobs and one having them, so idk anymore. This game has a kid race so anything is possible.
Companies have to make money. If we cry about pay 2 win, then these cosmetics have to be fair game. If we start crying about cosmetics then what... we just become a bunch of narcissistic entitled douches who cry because we didnt get it our way. F THAT! I dont personally like immersion breaking stuff either, but if its the difference between the company making money off the whales and keeping the content updated consistently and frequently, then more power to them. But i agree it would go against the keeping true to a fantasy world, which they stated.
But really, the gameplay will be the make or break, not some bunny head or swim trunks.
Heres a cash iten for you: make all player characters look like generic npcs so you dont have to see their silly cosmetics.
Regrettably, Black Desert is well down this path too with its fixation on showgirl fashion and hottie maids and freaky costuming over more creative gameplay. I sometimes feel like I'm in a boy-man's fantasy dollhouse. Just totally breaks the pseudo-realism needed for convincing true immersion which BDO's beautiful world is just made for.

A laudable goal. Just have to see if they were successful. Always excited for a new game, but wait and see. Right now I'm playing my new game 'Project Gorgon' Terrible graphics and having a blast.
