PVP= 1. Race to lvl cap.  2. Gank ALL bottom feeder noobs as much as possible. 3. Rinse and repeat. MMORPGs and PVP DO NOT WORK TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its more MMOs and open world PvP do not work together.

Maybe release the game when its ready? Remember those days? No sympathy given here.

Lol, it is ready and in good shape. This site is just full of well, I ll stop there.

Yeah, for some reason* people will buy most anything based on hype, regardless of actual quality or even despite actual contrary evidence. They just want to "believe" so badly.

*Fairly certain its due to a lifetime of being bombarded and manipulated by "marketing"...or mind control.

    Same thing really.

The "good news" is eventually at some point in your life you "snap out of it" and really start to ,  "just what the hell was I thinking?"

    Weird.

    ;)

I know this might shock you, so maybe sit down. People actually might like something you don t, odd hey. The game was not hyped for me at all, my wife actually bought me an XBOX ONE X bundle with it, so I tried it. I haven t been bored once in it, nor do I think it lacks at all.

It is getting content in time, and I m fine with that as it is now, is a really fun game.

No, what shocks me is people like this reviewer can clearly see the faults of this title and then turn around and give the game a rating of "8"  mostly on the potential of what it might become some day.

A clear 5 or 6 at best, with the negatives he observed and listed.  Yet he loves it, which is the part I can't understand.

I chalk it up to people have different standards of quality they will accept in order to enjoying something.

But correct me if I'm wrong here, aren't you a fan of gank style PVP? If so, understandable this title would be something you enjoy, the other factors such as light on content might not matter so much.

Faults or not it is FUN. This is why we play games lol. Yes it could have more, which they re adding but it doesn t make the game in fun now. You say it s a 5 or 6 at best , I say an 8. Its all about the FUN.

Being that I don't play games for "fun" I can only grasp what you mean at a conceptual level.

I measure games by what I can accomplish or achieve right now, hence I won't play early access or incomplete games with "potential."

I left fun back on the playground many years ago.

On what is this opinion based upon? Have you played Sea of Thieves? Is it based on your personal experience of playing Sea of Thieves?

This comment is pretty much the truth of what we humans are about. My friend might enjoy dating fat girls, while I might not. My friend when travelling, might enjoy staying in 5star hotels, I might enjoy staying in motels.
Think of it like scoring at the Olympics.

Starting at a score of 10, a game can never go up, they can only get a perfect score by providing interesting and imaginative content with NO mistakes.

For every misstep points are deducted, and just a gymnast would be penalized for skipping a required floor excercise, or falling to the floor.

I consider buggy launch, half baked social controls (to the point the author tossed out the impact players can have on one's gameplay, likely because he was getting ganked to hell) and the vastly understated "thin content" remark which took at least four paragraphs to quantify just how thin to be the equivalent of our gymnast face planting into the mat 3 or 4 times.

Such an athletic performance would never get a mark higher than 5 or 6, well unless she was scored by Russian judges or something.

    ;)

Neither should this or any other game do better in this sort of state.
