Shout out to the frame drops while turning the camera and absolutely nothing happening. How the f#$% does stuff like that keep making it into their videos? Is it so bad that they just said "keep it, it won't spoil the surprise of the horrible game performance later"?

This is a cleric not a Paladin. Dressed up like a warrior with full armor and a shield and doing nothing. Lord, the more videos I see the worse this game looks. I mean 5 classes and this being one of them is a joke in today's games. This video is awful, it shows awful game play with an awful character. EPIC FAIL
Back in EQ the Cleric wore plate armor and used a mace and shield.

Do you mean the "frame drops" at the beginning of the video ? If yes, then that's how they do the "slow motion" thing. I mean, how seriously you think that those "frames" are ... "frame drops"? Really ..

It seems like most people don't fully understand what a paladin actually is. Paladins are like warrior priest/ protectors or advocates of faith. If a paladin were to strictly be a tank with a splash of holy magic one would also assume there are those on the other end that also specialize in only the holy magic portion. They are a hybrid and in Bless they are primarily healers. This has been mentioned a lot and is fitting afterall a paladin is pretty much a holy priest in nature.
Where do people get off that a Pally can't be a healer? I cite WoW as reference...
Also this showcase was to demonstrate healing in groups because the previous class showcases didn't actually show healing. It's as if people have never played a healer before, "wow omg all you do is stand there and cast." There is movement and positionals shown. A healer is interesting because you maintain your allies health pools along with buffs. The support role isn't for everyone.. if you can't handle it go play something where you can mash a giant axe into a monster.

Hmm I kinda liked it. I had a Pally healer in WoW and I stood there sharing my light with the group. Would be nice to be able to get different builds for different roles with the Paladin class. But as a healer, this is pretty much what I was expecting.

I watched the video again, I kind of like the music and the graphics, but I'll give it a try if I feel MMO-needy but I think I'll get bored after a few hours like I usually do as the MMO all seem the same but reskinned

Aion Cleric (ok not Paladin) is similar, with the weapon options of two handed staff or mace/shield.
Don't know why all the negative comments... If I have to pick which "holy" paladin looks better; this or WoW's this one feels a lot more like I imagine a healer paladin would look.
Also people mention that paladins in Europe aren't viewed as healers, but tanks, but if paladins are anything they are warriors, so that view doesn't feel appropriate either. They are "God's warriors" and not "God's tanks"
Also since they are religious fanatics and during the medieval ages generally people would seek often help from the church to get "healed" I find it's appropriate that they are seen as healers.

You're either daft AF or missed the :08 mark. I'll let you re-watch and really think about what you typed before I insult your intelligence.

Funny how people call this class terrible just cause the person in the video didn't move. I believe you can choose from a variety of skills so this video doesn't show it's full potential probably.
I am wondering due to way the skill system looks like you have more skills than you can put onto a bar if you could spec as dps, healer or tank with a paladin.

Well Cleric use heavy plate: https://www.pantheonmmo.com/classes/cleric/
I could see this being done as a Monk/Cleric/Healer archetype.
But Paladins, although usually flashy in games, are still in the front of battle.
Kind of like a front-line commander that bolsters and encourages their forces while fighting.

I hope for an open beta or a hands-on gameplay test before having to buy.
