You have not read a single line from that article linked above by another poster, right ? Where the authors make an independent prediction about SC cash flow up to 2022.
Have fun
You know if you’re going to use the 90 days tops can you at least include the whole part and not just a part of it to try and make your argument look better?

Answer:
"I peg it at under 90 days. Tops"
Not ... quite ... right ... ;-)

Lol yeah I could have sworn I saw him say 90 days if funding dries up in a tweet somewhere or blog and he very well could have but he also said that so I retract my earlier comment
The worlds greatest WAAAAAAAAH lord, Supreme taco commander, with every new patch Derek has a major tirade to match, remember when he said 2.0 didn't and would NEVER exist, or the time he loudly proclaimed, this game could never be made, as the tech was decades away, so as we clearly see, Derek does not know shit, don't take it from me, just go look for Line of Defense, the only thing you will see is a few dead servers and videos that make fun of the game happily.

congrats 200+ million got you 6 years of broken nonsense and wasted time.
Had they not raised that type of money off the simpletons who fell for the scam they would have been history a long time ago.
But now that the curtain has been pulled back and people realize theyre broke and no where near releasing anything I think the gravy train is about to run out. But like I said you cant underestimate the stupidity of people so theyll probably still be able to scam a few million more I am sure but it wont be enough to keep SQ 42 likely let alone the grand illusion of the SC universe.

I mean technically a game doesn’t really exist in the completed sense so he is neither right or wrong at this point in time. Derek doesn’t know shit just like Chris doesn’t know shit.
And really looking at the financials if it wasn’t for stubborn whales they would have gone under long ago
Whilst its true the game is not yet released it looks increasingly likely that "something" will release. Especially compared to 2 or 4 or 6 years ago.
And - whilst I don't know - my gut feel is that funding from large backers is now a smaller % than it was at the start. As it looks more likely the game releasing goes up the number of backers going for the minimum package will, imo, increase. (Gut feel only.)
DS was - probably - making a prediction based on some idea of the money available divided by cost of employees. Maybe even using $100k per employee - which the multi-year financials support!
The unknown - of course - is future funding.
At the end of 2017 - they were doomed with so little money on hand. Now - well we don't know actually know their end-2018 position but what the heck: they are doomed! The problem is - of course - that another year has past with another year of development behind them.

What's more, if they're getting large swathes of gamers to purchase the game now and are burning through that cash to actually complete an MVP.. How do they imagine they'll ever keep enough revenue flowing post-release to add all the additional features they've promised to add? Soft launches work to gather large sums of money only if those same gamers wanting to try the MVP haven't already bought their access...

Well at least they’ve stopped doing refunds so no more robbing Peter to pay Paul going on any more. But you do bring up a good point but the answer would be that they will continue ship sales. If anyone thinks CRoberts is going to shut off the money tap that is ship sales then you haven’t been paying attention to what they say vs what they do
Their 'new' investor basically gave CIG enough money to fund another year of Star Citizen/Squadron 42 development. My interpretation of the financial statement had them having to pack it up in Febuary or March of this year without the investment. Which is about par for Roberts usual poor, wasteful management.
Maybe by the time they can actually get real persistence in the game, Roberts will have sold out enough of the ownership to get booted from the project. Or maybe he'll sell everything to Amazon or some other deep pockets company, all the while using the same excuses he did when Digital Anvil got bailed out in its sale to Microsoft.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
This recent investment imo is to get SQ42 out the door. Why then were dates pulled out of thin air?
Because that’s what they do. They will lie to backers faces and the backers will happily accept it because they couldn’t possibly lie to us again right?
As an example backers just recently learned that while they thought all SQ42 chapters were greybox or better they were actually told that most of the game hasn’t even entered whitebox.
The fact that CR said this 46 million investment is to market SQ42, a game that probably just about everybody knows about (white knights can thank us haters later) and that is most likely 2 years away from release just goes to show that CR and co will say anything to the people that helped them set up multiple studios around the world and pay their huge salaries in order to keep the fan base from tearing them apart.

There are still millions of people that never heard about Star Citizen. Some big publishers spend more on marketing than on developing a game. TV ads especially seem to be incredibly expensive. So far the only computer game ads i have seen in TV are: WoW, Just Cause, FarCry.

Some of the "fans" and journalists get paid by CIG to post pretty screenshots and videos.
TV ads? Really?
Hey, if TV ads don't work out, you can try radio ads next.

Proof ?
I know that some Twitch streamers at GamesCon got paid by CIG. Which does not surprise me, as they streamed some 12 hours every day of the games event.
Really? You're going to pretend this doesn't happen with this or any other industry?
That is not what i said or mean. To my knowledge it does happen in this and other industries.
I pretend nothing.
However, besides the open support of CIG for certain streamers during GamesCon i have not heard any other facts about CIG doing it.
If you have facts, if you have proof, i would be interested in hearing it.
I remember a long discussion here in this forum about "CIG has paid for high end computer systems for influencers to bribe them into reporting favorably about SC". A bubble that burst quickly as it became known that not CIG but a big computer company has sponsored these systems. So there is rumour, but little in the way of facts. And if one looks closer, these rumours usually turn out to be false.

They spent 200 million + you dont think theyre using some of that paying guys to stream?
I guess that 10K coffee pot and 50K mural dont sound so 'innocent' now.
really no surprise the fanbois dont think the news matters they have pretty much known these guys were burning through money like the US government. But eventually it all ends. Even for the US government.
Theyre still living on the dream that CIG can keep raising money from gullible people. Which has for some unknown reason been reliable.
As for the screen shots and what not, yay pretty pictures which is better than jumpy and edited videos because theyre one of the shots in the slide show this tech demo gets into when too many people get together.
I know it is a moot point to ask you about facts ....
>>>> 50K mural >>>>
Any proof that this mural cost 50k ?
>>>> these guys were burning through money >>>>
CIG has a burn rate pretty much in the range expected by most people here. In 2017 it was about 15 % below the old industry "rule of thumb" estimate of 10000 $ per employee per month
>>>> 10K coffee pot >>>
I guess you refer to the rumours about the CIG office coffee machine to be seen in some videos and pictures. A quick look at the internet will show you that professional coffee maker machines of this type (for restaurants and big offices) are even more expensive than that. And easy to lease instead of buying them. Dare i ask ? ... do you have ANY proof or evidence regarding that topic ?

Yeah, we know. Your old obsession regarding "faked" CIG videos. Which are so "fake" that fans recreated those videos on YouTube, making your whole claim of CIG "faking" those videos moot.
