It wouldnt' be great. Whether or not I'm accurate on SC's early access doesn't change the fact that what's there is garbage and always will be.
What doesn't change the fact is that it's your opinion, one that many that actually play the game (you're not even a backer from what you said before) would disagree with. Unfortunately, your job on discredit SC will only get harder it further develops, now that much we know.

It's not going to further develop to any significant degree so that's not a problem.
Seems like every time there's a new Star Citizen news it turns into a fight between it's haters and defenders.
Why not both group just agree to disagree?.
Only time will tell if Star Citizen launch as a complete product and lives up to it's promises or ends becoming another kickstarter dissapointment that stays forever in development hell.

Tiamat64 said: The horrific insult to game development that star citizen white knights refer to as the Star Citizen alpha right now is nothing more than an isolated piece of the (hypothetical final) game now, too.
Horrific insult lol, you haven't been following many early access games have you hmmm You likely also don't properly know the current feature-set of the game, because there are several game loops already resembling of the pitched game. They are unfinished, not the usual tech demo/prototype code that is just a proof of concept a phase SC has already moved from and its current mechanics are already the final solutions in-dev, from FPS to AI, to the existent content.
I guess no one did follow a game on early access this long like you guys do
LOL

Guys, let's stay on topic. Don't ruin this moment for me. I've been waiting for this Focused Hearing feature for 6 years now and it's finally here.
For SQ42 and all where the whole ship and all is quite populated, it's one of those features that you don't know it's benefit until you run into the cluttered noise issue when it's more simulated, sounds good to focus into player voice chat if they make it work for it.
I like this sort of stuff, this sort of attention to the smaller details most tend to ignore, makes it far more roleplay-friendly.
Wow, looks promising, cant wait. Is release soon? Any date?
epic troll bro....epic troll
game has been in "production" since 2011
False... end of kickstarter was end of Nov. 2012: 12 guys, 6M$, no studios , no pipelines... You lie and it shows badly
As usual. Someone could, of course, show you the quotes from Roberts and his Lawyer that claimed the 2011 date. Of course, you know that. (Though it turns out to be mostly Crytek's work.) But the dates of the project move around depending on the vagaries of the claiment.
The next claim is usually 'But they had to build a studio!'. Yeah, and a good development team usually factors that in. A poor one just throws stuff against the wall and sees what sticks.
Anyway, at Year 6 it does seem a little funny to be arguing over 'Well it wasn't 7!.' It will be....
Hey, as long as the money is coming in they can always work on ways to make it perfecter and perfecter. Into the far unforseable future....
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

I'd say it's already there. If it weren't for these likely sponsored press releases there wouldn't be much to discuss.
To me the situation less resembles two groups or sides of a spectrum; it's more like a nucleus of hardcore apologist defenders surrounded by an Oort cloud of critics and trolls.

WHY i think all starcitizen posts should be banned
6 years still not out of even alpha stage , looking more and more like some giant scam
and no end in site...
to the OP
just post when you have a finished game HOW ABOUT THAT, no one else if buying into your con man game no more, and with your monitization it would be technically illegal like everywhere especially belgium
This thread is a clear example of how most gamers lack the maturity and knowledge to understand basic concepts of crowdfunding or game development.
All the information could well be splattered in front of them and they wouldn't notice it because they are blinded by ignorance, frustration or sheer malice.
That's why we have people left amd right writing dissertations about Star Citizen who know jack shit about it lol
They talk about features, content, technical hurdles they barely know about while making opinions and false judgements based on outdated or plain wrong info...
It's funny cause while it's kinda sad to see "gamers" with zero clue spill lies and misconceptions like gospel left and right at the end of thr day this kind of open development videos not only keeps the real backers engaged generating more hype/money but it also helps to separate the wheat from the chaff in the process making it well worth it lol
TLDR: Armchair dev's mixed with angry gamers and you have a whole lot of typing and very little writing

You already used this exact copy and paste over in the other thread. It's getting tiresome and obvious.
I'm pretty sure you're only suppose to promote Star Citizen propaganda here and not engage in forum debate, especially insulting people anytime debate doesn't go your way. Makes CIG look bad when you do that.
If you have frustrations or doubts it's on you to deal with them like a big boy instead of poluting foruns with whining rambles lol
If you cant handle game development maybe it's better to stick to finished products instead.
Is that Official CIG policy?
btw, you can either address me directly by hitting the quote button or tagging my name by using @ and handle, ex. @Babuinix. That way people know when you are responding to them. Unless of course, you don't want people to know you're responding to them...
Trolling about being called on your frustrations wont ease your pain or make it go away. Your only path is to do your own research and hopefully get a more knowledgeable opinion about the issues you have and reach some kind of awareness that allows you to be in peace with your actions.

I've seen it all now. Purchasing and playing finished games is for n00bs. The elite gamers play unfinished tech demos with the loyalty of Jim Jones cult members.
Stick to being a wise and skeptical consumer you nubs. Stop calling out obvious wrongs. Instead chase down every rightfully negative comment in every thread EVER on MMORPG. That's how to be a real one.
"As far as the forum code of conduct, I would think it's a bit outdated and in need of a refre *CLOSED*"
Well you can play multiple games , finished or not and still try to make an effort to understand why game development is like it is. There's plenty to read online, free of charge, at the distance of a couple of clicks and google searches, even amazing books dedicated to development hurdles.
Why so many MMORPGS fail? Why do major studios worth billions of dollars and with thousands of dev's with decades of experience have the exact same troubles Star Citizen dev's go through ?
That's what we all hope for! An everlasting game constantly evolving and getting updates!
Well your job kinda depends on it.
Seeing haters and critics eat their words is worthier than any salary CIG could ever pay me
Btw I sent you a PM with juicy info if you're eager to get some insight about game development and stuff like that.
It should be mandatory read for anyone who backs crowdfunded games or even anyone who post's on gaming forums tbh, I'm sure conversations would be much more insightful and constructive

Well the gravestones of the ones who "want it all and want it now" will end up with the engravement "forever disappointed - died of bitterness" xD
This calls for a Toast!

fast forward, now i am married with a 2 year old son.
i can safely bet, this game will be fully release after my son is at least 10 years old.
So What Now?
