What I saw I liked. One exception, players can see the location of other players on the map. I can see this as a huge grieving magnet.
Only other griefers will show up on the map. So Karma really
Actually not true. EVERYONE in the server will show up on the map. I think there is a perk card you can get that will allow you to be "off grid" but have not confirmed it yet. If you play, EVERYONE will show on the map otherwise and not just griefers.
I don't believe you are correct, can you link something to confirm?
No worries if not, I'll soon be able to see for myself.

Still not getting this title. Never will get this title. Brotherhood of steel should never have been mentioned or shown in this game.
Any particular reason why the BOS should be omitted?
Lore. BoS never made to east coast so soon. If my memory doesnt fail me its true that while developing FO76 they tried to fake it into lore via a twitter message saying that with some satellite they stablished contact with the appalachias prior to 2102.
Im guessing that they will also bullshit the supermutants to be from Vault 87 when those were sterile. Just a bunch that raided to kidnap people near capitol city.

I think you take it a bit too seriously, as they create the lore it is well within their right to amend it.
Just because the story, people / events in the future didn't include an appalachaia branch doesn't mean there could not have been one, just the west coast folks never knew.
Perhaps the vault 76 dwellers exterminated the BOS. I know in future versions I've chosen to do so in both NV and 4. Or let's just go full Star Trek and say it's an alternate reality.
Sometimes it helps to not over think these things.
Besides, would you rather they just invented some new "Sisterhood of Spandex" as a faction to deal with or stick with the familar?
I'll take the BOS even if it borks the timeline or lore a bit.

Pedantic lore consistency. Nothing important.
Indeed. Nowadays consistency is just a hinder from a comercial angle. It requires too much effort to just please a few people that appreciate it.
And I agree that they can add/change or Deus Ex whatever they want to their game and their IP.
But nothing of that negates the fact that its lousy work. Even if you consider it to not be important, wich to some extent I could even agree, it doesnt make the fact dissappear.
I hope you could agree that some people dont like those things as I agree that some people dont give a fk about them.
Some like rationale, discernment, well worked consistent plots, and people with creative capacity and intelectual tools to comprehend the body of knowledge of the environment they develop.
The Fallout lore isn't built on a strong enough foundation for it to be taken that seriously. What other faction would be a better fit and why?
Exactly my point above, what better to use, a faction we know or more new ones which we did get btw.
As for consistency, Fallout doesn't have a huge series of beloved novels, and it seems Bethesda has always been pretty flexible with it when creating a new game or DLC.
I can see not playing a game for a lot of reasons but mildly inconsistent lore isn't one of them.
People are free to make decisions for their own reasons of course just as I'm free to challenge them for it.
Heck, there might even be some light hearted mocking, because...I'm a bit of jerk sometimes, as you have pointed out before.

Did I hear this right? Client/Server connection ala Conan Exiles/Ark.
This is going to be an absolute garbage, isn't it I really hate the networking of those two. You're basically left on the whim of the server administrator.
What do you mean by client/server? Every mmo, or multiplayer fps shooter ever is client server, doesnt mean anything unless the server is underpowered. Maybe you mean peer to peer, in which case you're right thats garbage on all but a tiny scale.
