This is a single-player-game. Why is it covered on MMORPG.com? Its misleading because at first I thought this would be a new MMO.
The 4 pages of comments prove that there is high interest in this exact game, and in the RPG genre itself.
*cues tired old rehashed statement about RPG coverage* Due to the heavy cross interest in most of our readers, we have covered RPGs for at least the last 5 years.

"Social media gives legions of idiots the right to speak when they once only spoke at a bar after a glass of wine, without harming the community ... but now they have the same right to speak as a Nobel Prize winner. It's the invasion of the idiots”

No cash shop! I'm both excited and a little sad. Excited that it won't have one. A little sad that this is now a rare and treasured feature.
It's a 100% single player game with zero online features. It won't have mods support either. Why would anyone even expect a cash shop in it?
Because it's 2018 and both Shadow of Mordor 2 and Deus X: Mankind Divided did it. Hence the cheeky quote from CDPR I use for my sig.

Those games are the exception though, not the rule. Microtransactions in single player games are something to be wary of when they occur, but they're still uncommon.
This year has been remarkable for single player story games, and last year was even better, IMO.

Well... Bioware also did it with ME3, DAI and MEA. Yes, they tacked on a tiny bit of multiplayer to it in order to justify it but they were 99% single player games.
Things were starting to trend that way but they got so much flak over it that, at least in the case of Mordor 2, they removed them.
It's also extremely common in mobile games.

Haha this made me laugh good one mate.

me3 multiplayer was okish for kill everything you can without problem, DAI was anoying and very irritating, MEA, burn it with fire, and even so I don't se why the hell anyone would spend money on it
mordor 2 they removed after the bad PR and people avoiding it, and since they wanted to stop the suport online for it, they removed, but too late, damage done, a sub par game killed by devs
and mobile games, are we using mobiles to play good games now? only crap are on these
I wouldn't call them crap necessarily. Just usually shallow, mainly due to the medium limitations.
In theory a lot more can be done with mobile gaming, considering the processing power these modern phones have, but the gameplay usually suffers due to hardware limitations (tiny screen, awkward controls etc.). Still, they can be pretty decent for some types of games.
What ruins the mobile landscape is the rampant microtransaction abuse.
Every since Obsidian weathered the 2008 recession by creating Pillars of Eternity, I've been a fan. They were determined not to close their studio and since they had no work, decided to make some up. Pillars was the result, which almost single-handed revived the RPG genre.

Right. Mobile phones are perfect for turn based games, especially strategy. Anything in real time suffers due to touch controls.
The microtransaction abuse on mobile phones is disgusting.

and that is the problem micro transation makes for features who or force you to use it or give you a huge adavantage, and something the only way to advance, they don't sell convenience, they build tehy game around it and then blame the gamers for not wanting to wast they time and money when they fail, and say gamers are too picky or annoying, or adult children
pretty much any excuse who blame others and not the devs own lack of ambition and inovation, hell I bet most can't even write a damn line of code without something to help then, and we can see this on the new games lined up.
you know your hobby is with a serious problem when the next gen who should make you happy, looking forward to, only seeing things get better to, meh, have a cash shop? adn will not bother till some time after launch
