BioWare's Head of Live Service Chad Robertson has posted a note on the site to lay out for Anthem players and fans what happened to cause such a rocky start to the VIP demo. In addition, Robertson write about current and ongoing efforts to mitigate and solve some of the most persistent problems players have experienced.

Oh Bioware... How the mighty have fallen...
I had fun once, it was terrible.
Loading still freezes. No rubber-banding for me. Based on what they learned from this launch they should allow players to play all the javlins if only to avoid unforeseen problems at launch. Also if a player goes down the spawn points should be working, nothing worst then just sitting there doing nothing when you're downed. If your teem can't get to you, you could be sitting there doing nothing during the rest of the boss fight, that's not fun.

or did no one tell em how much they sold / handed out?

The gunplay is satisfying. Some of the best third person gunplay we've seen in a long time, which is out of character for Bioware.
The aesthetic customization is unparalleled.
The build customization seems pretty good so far. We'll have to see what top end gear functions like to really get a clear picture.
The open world freeplay is actually fun to explore and comes with difficulty sliders. A huge step up from the semi-linear patrol maps in Destiny.
The few boss encounters shown here seem to actually be challenging and require the player to use their mobility to dodge AoEs.
Not enough content shown to gauge the story. At the very least, there are characters with personality and some context for what you are doing in this world. That's more than can be said for vanilla Destiny.
Fix the demo issues and this may actually be a great game.
Keep the thread on topic please which is the letter in the news post.
ON TOPIC: What they should have done is call it what it's turned out to be: A stress test.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well I’m betting most people didn’t know the demo was restricted to “vip people”. I downloaded it thinking I could play it.
Really? Everybody I've played with has had this problem at one point or another. I think it's a much larger issue then they would have us believe.
To me there is way more wrong than simply saying we have issues with the coding, the game looks extremely rushed and a lazy effort.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Thank you for your time!
Having said that I really enjoyed the game when I could load in.
It looks great and it sounds amazing especially the weapons.
Guys, we promised its gonna be "WAY BETTER" than MEA, here ya go! :P
LOLZ
P.S. I wonder...can they beat F76?
P.S. 2 So, When devs started making this game:
Titanfall+Mass effect= BEHOLD, ABSOLUTELY NEW AMAZING GAME! - Anthem!!! YEAH!
Sadly devs are living in basement these days (with no internet)... Little do they know that game like this already exist and its called Destiny.
The ai only have issues when the server does that I've noticed. It can get pretty rough at times. And I haven't been one shot by anything. Nice try though.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They didn't have exact numbers? What are you talking about. People who had Origin Access / EA Access and Pre-ordered the game had VIP access sure, but they also handed out VIP codes to people who had signed up to the newsletter, handed a ton out on Twitter, and oh here is the kicker, people who had VIP access also got 3 codes to hand out to friends. Which in turn, those three people could also invite three other people each. Participants grew massively.
People constantly trying to talk like they know the situation when they don't.
So what if another game comes out that is similar to something else? Are you an idiot? Competition is healthy for businesses and that is how we get innovation. Destiny (Due to Activision) shit on their player base and killed the attention it had. BioWare decided to innovate on the idea and improve what games such as Destiny lacked.
Point being is, its perfectly fine for similar things to exist. Making assumptions such as your basement comment and claims saying a game can't exist cause X already exists makes you look like an idiot.
[mod edit] Stop hating just to hate and try to use actual common sense. They have never done a shared world looter shooter (dragon age does not fucking count. And mass effect 3 had similar issues at its launch). Let them attempt to do something they want to do and if it fails oh well. No one was hurt in this process. Stop being weird. Jesus

We'll see how it goes, if they don't sort out the issues by launch well... Good riddance.
