After all the speculation yesterday about deleted tweets on the release date for Borderlands 3, we now know that it will arrive, in fact, on September 13th. It will be an Epic Games Store exclusive through April 2020.

As yet I don't think Epic Store has an exclusive that I want to play, no doubt something will in the future. While I favour competition we have yet to see how the consumer is benefiting from any of this, but for Epic that's not the point.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
You gotta wait for the majority of games on Steam to bake well beyond the release date because, well, Steam doesn't give a shit about even a minimum standard of quality. It's actually quite refreshing to launch a digital storefront and not be bombarded with ads for bullshit, half-baked EA titles.
yeah because 2 games against what? several from steam is a nice way to compare, I had games on steam then from day one was bug free too and "complete", the issue of saying the game is complete is simple, if they launch a DLC to expand anything(or worse a day 1 dlc), that means the game is not complete MHW was complete when launched there was no dlc(for content at least just flufly) and they anounce a expansion for it who will bring new things, that is the issue and the diference with I see most of you who defend steam or epic or the devs miss, and miss hard

Bombarded with ads? Really?
Epic store is a good thing. What's your problem with Steam having some competition? Is it too much of a burden to have to game launchers on your computer?
yes it is, even more if I don't want to, plus I already told you, only reason I buy from steam is price, I wait for a year at least before buying a game and wait for some promo with 50% cut on price, if not the same game same price and all I buy it from gog, DRM free is so much better

if you don't get it on launch, then no, you won't be able to play it on launch
you are welcome. if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
me on the other hand, yes, i can play it, and you may guess why

Either way, Gearbox and Epic have just made it so this goes from pre-order to buy as cheap as possible in the inevitable GOTY edition.
I dont get why people like you are even bitching ... You had no intention of ever supporting the developers, artists, programmers, writers, qa people, etc anyways! You weren't going to buy day 1 even if it was on steam, because you guys just leech onto the games when they are 50-75% off. And by then the game will be on steam anyways. SO why complain? It will be there for your sale price so you can continue supporting valve and not the companies actually making the games you claim you love.
But I do want to thank you for being such a contributing member to our hobby/community.
It makes little difference with the amount of games to buy and play. Storefront exclusives only hurt sales potential, imo. Their loss, I have 20 games on my steam and amazon wishlist already.
