It seems like to have fun in SWG these days, you're either a Jedi, or you're a Bounty Hunter and hunting Jedi.
So I respecced my old character, he's level 80, doesn't require any grinding whatsoever. Join a large guild... what do they do? They help each other and grind XP for their Jedi.
I ask if we can do a Corvette mission cause I've never completed a single one. Apperantly it's so damn hard now, no one wants to go cause they can get more XP grinding their Jedi.
Okay what about the Geonissian Lab? Anyone wanna go there? Same crap, too hard, more XP just grinding on Endor or Dantooine.
I bought The Total Experience so I can have the Rage of the Wookiees expansion, anyone wanna go to Kashyyk? Sure, but they're too busy grinding their Jedi right now, they'll organize a group tomorow night.
Tomorow night, okay wanna go to Kashyyk today? Only 1 person wants to go, cause everyone else is grinding their Jedi, we group, we try to find a Pick-up-group... 1 hour later, we only managed to find 1 person that wanted to go to Kashyyk with us. My teammate ditches me, I go to Kashyyk on my own, I die instantly. Kashyyk is just not soloable.
OKAY I GIVE UP, I'm going to go become a Jedi myself! Go to Aurilian Village, take up a new quest... oh look Melee Accuracy quest... I try to do it alone... IMPOSSIBLE! Ask if anyone can help, 2 people say they can, but they say we need a full group cause it's too hard to do with just 2-3 people.

Geez, I've re-activated my account last week and I'm already hating it.
Back to World of Warcraft... at least that game doesn't have JEDI!!!

Wow what did you respec to? Kyyyshk was bulit to challenge level 54, so if you're level 80 and having trouble you need to seriously reconsider your tactics.
As far as the Jedi missions at the village, I've done every one of them solo except the one you have to group with to get the loot (that may be the one you're talking about) and it's not impossible solo just REALLY hard to do without help.
I think you need to get more familar with your toon's new abilities, they you'll be fine on your own.
The Corvette and Genoshan lab are now impossible to do. They haven't gotten around to rebalancing the mobs there after the CU, so I woudln't go there and it has nothing to do with grinding Jedi.
Just wait till they implement hero classes.

Honey, I tripped and fell into the Jedi Village by accident, soloed the sith that came to kill me because I enjoy questing too much, then have unlocked a few of the dumb FS boxes mostly solo, sometimes with a single other Jedi who isn't even full-template yet -- and I'm a Master Doc/Master Fencer -- NOT a template people will recommend for uberness in PvP OR PvE. I can't make people STOP asking me to go to Kashyyk. I did the spider caves on Dathomir again tonight with four friends, none of them full-template jedis and only one of them jedi at all.
It sounds very much as if you've joined a guild that doesn't suit your playstyle filled with people who either don't know how to play their templates or who are giving you a BS brush-off.
Granted, I think they should quit making it easier and easier to become and play a jedi. It's criminal that a player like me should be in the force village. To me, it's just another set of quests to be devoured. The huge surplus of jedi annoys me to no end. I may eventually dump my template to work my way back up again as an MBH/MCarb mutation of some sort just to ease my irritation with the growing jedi population by making it less convenient for them to be ridiculously visible.
But really, only one jedi player out of every twenty (and that's a KIND estimation) really seems worthy of waving that glowstick everyone seems so hot to have. Maybe they should give dancers the forcelightning flicker as an effect and toy lightsabres as dance props and just weed out the trash jedi to wave their glowsticks in the cantinas. Ugh, they just disgust me.
Oh, and firemagic... your sig picture is offensive. I've got a pretty good sense of humor and I tell you, it's not at all as funny or clever as you think it is.

BTW, the Geo Labs and Corvette were balanced with the CU quite some time ago now. I've done both and they are by no means difficult. In fact managed to make it half way through the Geo Labs solo, before it got to late and I needed to log. I'm not a Jedi either, just have some healing.
At CL80 Kashyyyk should be a walk in the park. As for grouping, for it being hard to find I seem to spend a great deal of time having to decline invites. It sounds like you need to find a better guild.
I will agree there are to many Jedi though. I can't see how SoE can deal with the existing ones, given they are paying customers. They are at least doubling the amount of time it takes to reach Padawan. Hopefully they will continue to make the path harder.
How long ago is "Some time ago"? I went to the Corvette mid July and a full group lasted all of 4 1/2 seconds.
I think you're sig is funny Firemagic. I typically don't like your posts, but your sigs usually give me a chuckle.
Something like two or three publishes ago.
They were cl81 - cl86(ish) when I went (early July). You just need to take it at a steady pace, have a good tank and don't AoE.
*EDIT* Oh, make sure everyone is CL80. Other's may get the defence buff from grouping, but they are still aggro magnets.
Jedi just need something to do away from everyone else, like quests. No one would care how many Jedi there were if they only ever saw one occasionally.

I think as long as you have two rezzers, you can pretty much do any hi-level content (Death Watch Bunker, Geo Caves, Corvette). Otherwise you have to be pretty careful.
I did the Geo caves with a full-template Jedi, two CL 80 tanks (TKM, Master Pikeman) and some lower-level bounty hunters about a month ago. I was the only one who could rez and once I got killed after about an hour (we were looting for the guild), it was all over for the rest of them.

Bah well forget it. Cancelled my StationAccess cause even EQ2 isn't as fun to play as WoW and left a nice short RUDE letter to the SOE customer support. I hope they just ban me forever, I don't want myself to one day feel I wanna go back to SWG cause the game got better... it's already dead in my book.
So I'm just back in WoW, back to the old daily LBRS/Strat/Scholo routine while grinding my level 40 Rogue's bonus XP, then logging off and getting drunk for the rest of the night.

No offense but your full group didn't know what the hell they were doing. FPA has been doing Corvette occasionally sine late June w/o issue. And we don't even take a Jedi every time. I posted the composition of our group the last time I went. And some of those people weren't even CL80.

LOL if you think Star Trek Online is going to be good I got some ocean front property to sell you in Kansas.
Just a clue:
Star Trek has yet to release a successful SINGLE PLAYER title... what makes you think someone's going to release a decent MMO based on it? Star Trek just doesn't lend itself to gaming. NetTrek was the closest thing to a decent Star Trek title and even it was pretty bad.

You do realize that there is other games besides WoW and SoE games, why dont you try something different? It at least will waste your time till something better comes out.
