Guess were Furor and Tigole are now? Yeap, working for Blizzard in the #1 MMORPG of all time. So I guess, playing alot for them wasn't a loser move, eh. image

Tigole was not a member of Afterlife. He was guild leader of Legacy of Steel from The Nameless server

The guy that pulled this heist off has certainly gained legendary status. Indeed the whole corporation...

To sum it up, we are talking in the tune of over $16,000 worth of in-game equipment (using IGE.com's ISK prices). Go ahead and read the article (rest can be found here: pg2 pg3 pg4)

To name a few others in EVE's history: Setec, the leader of the infamous Space Invaders pirate corp is certainly known by most of the oldtimers.

Lord Zap will always be known as the most ruthless of all pirate leaders, forming the very well-known m0o corp.

Not to offend anyone here, because we all like MMOs(or at least most of us)... They really dont take much skill. Most people that are really good at MMOs are just people that have the most time on their hands. It doesn't take MUCH skill. Then when you talk about strat games like c&c, or like fps like cs, that, although u are limited to weapons and items, time doesnt really matter in that game. Well it does if you're talking about like someone who plays 5 hrs a week and someone who plays 100 hrs a week. But otherwise, many ppl in those games actually have skill, which they got from practicing of course.

Something like this happened a few times in Lineage with Lord British, when he showed up for the very first Heine siege. I've heard the first time he was actually killed (though I personally was not there), but the second time he was attacked and was forced to venz (teleport out back to town).

    Poor Richard...

I shoulden't judge people by the amount of time they play, like Zezima.. but I really think thats ridiculous that he/she plays 20 + hours a day, living in her/his parents basement, not saying thats true.. just saying its pretty crazy if it is lol. The lord british moment in UO was a classic :), can't forget the one in EQ1.. forgot the exact weapon that was founded, and who weilded it but there was huge controversy because it was put in the game for a joke, because the DEV didn't think the NPC would ever be slain.  Anyway long story short, some dwarf was running around the zone with an insane weapon slaying dragons solo :P lol

How the hell can we be here talking about MMORPG "legends" and not mention Poseidon (sp?)...

For those who don't know, he is/was (havn't checked in quite some time) the highest level Lineage 1 char worldwide... by quite a big margin too... everybody who had anything to do with Lineage knew the name... That's saying a LOT seeing as Lineage 1 was the worlds largest MMORPG...

I would say he must be the biggest name in MMORPG gaming... Maybe not to American's in particular, but overall (due to the obscene amount of Korean L1 players)...

Honestly, when it comes to straight, hardcore, Korean-style grinding, NOBODY beats Poseidon... That guy invented "Grind"...

[edit] also, "Light" was a hardcore Lineage 1 name too... Pretty much the only guy that could compete with Pos...

    Aside from that?... ME! =P

My character Ferox has been in every major mmorpg beta or post release game. I dont think I was ever a legend except maybe for a short time in DAOC People cheered whenever I came in the frontier lands because they knew I would actually lead some fighting, instead of the typical stand 300 feet away from eachother and wuss out for an hour.

But literally Ferox is now 13 years old. I first used the name for a D&D character, and he has become my alter ego. If someone yelled ferox on the street I would probably turn my head haha.
