not really no, they are the same but socialism is a new way of saying just to look more humane and to look like a higher moral ground.

and reading what is said they want to ban is the idea from others cultures of romance, or how they go around, plus remember goverments are idiots, all ideas they can muster is from a point of ignorance, its pretty possible they want to crack it down so people would stop spending all they time doing something its not working to keep china afloat, it is said then china is creating a huge bubble and when said bubble burst chinese market will crash, and hard, so making people stop spending on games and keep working, saving and buying a better home would make sense

in the end its china being china, they will cersor anything with could give any chance of the people start to question what they have there, like how china cersor any kind of search from a certain massagre they did to people in the 80'

Well, unfortunately, the proposed rules won't translate as they appear to be images instead of text. I'm sure that additional rules include time restrictions. One of the things the original article mentioned was that kids under 6 aren't allowed to play alone. How that would be enforced remains to be seen. 

Still, sucking the fun out of games would certainly reduce game play time....sorta worked on me with WoW these days.

Haha, I was going to say Western game developers are doing it just fine without government oversight.

We need less people having sex because we have a population problem, we will do through games, sex ed through games but not talking about sex ed at all! Its kind of funny that the Chinese government is offering suggestions for game regulations when they have no rules on plagiarism/product stealing. Everyday there's a clone of a mainstream title in that country. Didn't like the first League of Angels game or something try and use the old FFXIV opening cinematic as their own?

I see a very big problem with all of society edging closer to a bunch of pixel screen junkies,selfies,Pokemon Go,Harry Potter,everyone walks around with their cell phone like it a must have in life.Sure i still see some people getting out of the house or trying to do things not related to screens but the numbers are small,i would say the majority are already ADDICTED like an alcoholic.

And most importantly, no references to when the government of China murdered a bunch of people at Tiananmen Square in 1989.  Someone in China making a post like this one could get imprisoned for it.  They're really serious about censorship, and it's not for the sake of protecting their people.

Well, in regards to the US, actually, in America, Liberals are commonly associated with socialism (IE, "communism" to some folk apparently), who encourage things like free gay love.  So the ones associated with socialism in America are actually the ones least likely to implement these types of restrictions.

Meanwhile, conservatives (IE, moral guardian types that would be more likely to implement measures such a "clothes must cover 3/4ths of a women's breast") are associated with capitalists here.

I guess being on the other side of the globe flips things around.

Im no expert on this subject but as  i mentioned before i found it bizarre watching that big protest in Portland over the weekend and the same side that were dressed in black waving communist flags also were waving pride flags which made no sense to me. Maybe my knowledge of history is flawed but since when do communist and gays co-exist or fight on the same side ?

Okay, Im a Chinese and do play Chinese games. I've seen enough to know quite a few things.
Marriage in Chinese games are HUGE, almost every game has to have them, its like a must now. Its unhealthy seeing kids calling each other husband and wife while wearing reveling clothing's in games.

Most gamers in China are ADULTS, combine that with kids playing as well...where a marriage/romance system exists is bad. There are actually quite alot of pedophiles hanging around kids friendly games. Seeing these people interact with their in-game-under-aged-wifes/husbands(yes, little boys too) is just disgusting.

Additional note, its like a must for all games in china to have a loli class...you can see where things can go from there. They just want to further restrict age 18- games, i didn't read too much into the rules sorry if i get anything wrong.

Oddly I don't find anything strange about needing regulation and all. The romance part is a big deal, IF ppl are dating online then they are not dating in real world. At this rate no one will have kids in 30 years time if not already their and its a serious issues that are happening all around the world but oddly no one is talking about it.

I'm guessing here but am pretty sure the 2020 gen will not have kids O_O which will be a the end time if no one notice, yeah way to go gaming industry way to destroy humanity. The killer robots didn't do it yet, the world war 3 didn't happen, the pollution of the world is not fast enough, so I guess its up to the gaming industry to end humanity. At least it stopping ppl from having kids in the world, death by greed what a nice way to go.

This is very true but they dont march side by side with Far right groups where as (once again I'll say it) I have witnessed pride flags marching alongside far left communist flags. I just dont get it.

edit: I should add, they just had a pride parade here and I don't recall any communist flags. So what was the context?
