Those are really old by now. That's 2014-2015 content or so.
A nice touch though.
I forgot there were expansions and didn't realize they still charged for them. I only bought one. All the other content was included in some other perks or packages or deals I got at some point.
I guess it's nice that they're dropping that fee. The worst parts of their hybrid f2p/sub model I'm pretty sure will remain unchanged - limited crafting and quest rewards unless you sub.
MMOs have come full course. They dropped the mandatory sub to make them accessible, then added cash shops, loot crates, and RMT currencies. Then they locked key systems or mechanics behind the sub. The classic triple dip has become the default standard.
This is why I've come to hate whale driven gaming. It either puts you in the position of leech or sugar daddy and robs the voice and vote of anyone willing to pay some reasonable middle-ground price for a game.
Whenever they have a special like this I usually come back and level a class or two but now I'd rather just play my other regular MMO's. They've had their chance. Now I'm moving on.
So many pay-walls, this game has been like taking a car, chopping it up and selling the parts to make more than just selling the car itself. Let the customer put it back together. Shame, I enjoyed this game back in the day.

The whole point of EA's f2p model was to frustrate you into subbing. The only thing worth doing in Swtor is the world and class stories and they are still f2p. It is better to be a preferred player though. And those expansions are so old now that most people forgot about them.
Do you get access to the full game if you subscribe? inventory slots , action bars , skills , npc's , endgame gear ? a new life ? wth is this shit...
The game is Free to Tease, its a solid game that if you dont sub to, dont expect much out of it. Its an awful system for a pretty good game and its a shame, the UI stuff is the biggest sleaze thing to do, limit credits and EXP gain speed like everyone else EA, dont make people buy UI.
But to your question, Yes if you sub you get it all plus 5 bucks worth of MTX currency.
Awwwww, poor EA. Seriously folks? If you defend the likes of EA you probably should reevaluate your life.
Why? Explain to me why in the game industry EA is the "devil".
I think you're going to get various answers. All would be true to some degree, but look where we are, we can't agree on anything.
>they nickle and dime at every corner >they behave like 1970s used car salesmen >they buy up smaller studios that we love and kill them off >they release unfinished games
And an unpopular one on this site, but still matters to some people, myself included:
>running their sucks on social media about political issues

Just want to point out that this is all true of every major publisher including Paradox, THQ Nordic, Sony, Microsoft, Activision, and so on. Blizzard and Westwood are an example. Paradox is the absolute and undisputed king of the nickle and dime milk job at every corner only they're more like a tenner and a twenty at every corner.
Also, little studios don't have to sell out. Maybe we should be harder on them for being sellouts instead of big publishers for buying them up? Bioware aren't victims. They were greedy and sold out. Same with all those other "beloved" studios. Mojang is a good example.
EA is kind of a horrible publisher. So are all the rest. The least horrible "big name" publisher I can think of is CDPR and that's just my bias leaking through.
I guess as a casual player I've never gotten the hate for F2p models / games. I've played SWToR off and on for years now. Never put a cent into it and never felt like I was held back in anyway.
Basic UI / 1 set of hotbars ... big deal, I don't even use all the one's on the bar as it is now, don't need another one. Limited credits, never had to spend them on anything anyway and less EXP gain, woop de do, just means I don't out level everything in sight on the first pass.
My highest is lvl 52 and I'm still doing the class story line and if I keep playing it when ever I now won't have to stop when the story line is finished as they've just given me more content.
I just find it amazing how so many want EVERYTHING without having to spend any money. If you're not paying for it, take what they give you or GO ELSEWHERE.
Meh, pretty sure they gave these away before and why not give us Knights of the Eternal Throne..??
Maybe. They have done it a couple of times where if you were at the right level you could play them without buying. I was always too low so I don't know if once started you got to keep them open or not.
*rabble rabble* Yea, old stuff, huehue, that's like old, right? No one wants that, dude, like if you open an online store and sell old games, like, dude, like, no one would by any "Good Old Games"
I logged into the game to check it out and it's so different in so many ways:
1. Groupfinder now segregates flashpoints by character level. You used to be able to do any flashpoint but now lower flashpoints are not available.
2. Still don't allow under 20 players to team up...you must play slow leveling content.
3. Game bar is reset and now automatically unlocks so don't forget to lock it before you play.
4. I have 3 different accounts but some I had to activate and others I could play right away so I'm not sure if the updates accounts is happening accountwide.
I bought the Collectors Edition of the game on release - really got into it initially but was a bit disappointed it was 'on rails' and not open world however appreciated the voiced quests and overall polish.
I have to agree with others regarding locking quest rewards and core game mechanics behind the subscription that was a DEALBREAKER for me that REALLY pissed me off when I went back to the game after a hiatus and did a quest only to be met with a "here's the loot choices you just earned but if you want the 2 good ones pay up" - I was sitting on the fence about resubbing but that mercenary attitude killed it.
DEFINITION OF REALITY: Graphics ok, Sound ok, Gold drops need more work...

Back in the day those bastard developers used to lock the ENTIRE game behind a subscription. Can you imagine the outrage back then?
On a more serious note, the idea that F2P players have the right to a similar or even somewhat similar experience as subscription players is something I can’t wrap my head around. You can play all the stories completely free, I think thats quite generous. Too bad SWtOR is horribly bland and hasn’t aged that well, that and the small and lifeless worlds you play on.
F2P, a glorified demo or trial in 95% of the cases, treat it as such and never be disappointed again.

SW license isn't a big deal anymore. Ask Hasbro

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

Number one reason for MMO failures = shit games
Number two reason is GREED!
