I agree with the people who said how we use video games as scapegoats. We have old people in offices, and when old people don't understand something, they say it is evil. They are right! Have you thought what this kind of stuff is teaching children? War and killing is not an option, only peace needs to be taught though out the world. These types of games cause people to have columbine type events.
EVE Online is showing us what technology can do. Humans started out as explorers and have grown to conquerors. If we one day can fly accross the galaxy and find a race with technology like we once did we'll end up killing them.
Things like MMORPGs are getting out of control. Killing is not alright, games with this type of action are teaching us that and its not true. We need to stop typing for a second and reflect on who may be getting killed or shot right now. Think about it...

First off, it is not racism, nothing anyone has said had anything to do with the race of anyone. And the Chinese govermnemt is open for discussion, but only in reguard to the ban of the MMORPG, that is the cause of thise whole discussion.
The gaming industry is over a 30 billion dollar business, it would be like the government outlawing wal-marts.

If the States was still doing this to Native Americans in the present day in the same way China is currently treating it's own citizens, it would indeed be hyprocritical to criticize China. I agree with the people who said how we use video games as scapegoats. We have old people in offices, and when old people don't understand something, they say it is evil. EVE Online is showing us what technology can do. Humans started out as explorers and have grown to conquerors. If we one day can fly accross the galaxy and find a race with technology like we once did we'll end up killing them.

that is like saying the world is going to come to an end. the gaming industry pulls in too much money every year just to be shut down all of a sudden in the near future. And as we now all know, the U.S will never do anything to hurt its gnp.
International terrorism (as its called) has given Governments all over the world the ability to basically abandon freedom and democracy and implement repressive laws and policies the like of which we may never have expected to see in our lifetimes.
Make no mistake... the very people who are telling you that they are the guardians of "freedom" fighting against those who "hate freedom" are the ones actually taking away your rights and freedoms!
The best way to combat terrorism and stop it from winning (according to our western leaders) is to not let it change the way we live. That is the rhetoric they feed us as they take away another right or freedom in the name of protecting us.
Consdiering that satistically you are more likely to commit suicide in a Western Democracy than be killed by a terrorist by a factor of over 1000:1, you have to wonder just who is bullshitting who here.

First off, it is not racism, nothing anyone has said had anything to do with the race of anyone. And the Chinese govermnemt is open for discussion, but only in reguard to the ban of the MMORPG, that is the cause of thise whole discussion.
